The Socceroos, whose starting line-up included ex-Town loanee Massimo Luongo, were already four in front when the 23-year-old came on - Tim Cahill netted a first-half hat-trick and Mile Jedinak added the fourth just before the break - to win his 28th full cap.

The result puts Australia top of their qualification group by two points from Jordan having played an extra game. The Jordanians are in action against Kyrgyzstan this afternoon.

This evening, Town central defender Josh Yorwerth could win his fifth Wales U21 cap and keeper Michael Crowe his first when the side coached by ex-Blues midfielder Geraint Williams faces Romania at The Racecourse, Wrexham in a Euro 2017 qualifier.

It is seldom worn as there are few occasions where it would make any more difference than blue and white (or all blue as recently). A guy in the club shop told me that Addidas insisted on it. I wondered if someone was having a laugh at McCarthy as Barcelona's football could not be more different to MM's hideous hoofball.

We haven't got the players for it. Really looking forward to the return of Luke Varney. Gives us an extra dimension up front. Hunt may well do well for Rotherham; definitely worth a shout.

I don't agree that we can't try to play football on the floor: professional players can train for it and do much better. mM is the one who decides who we sign!
