Fraser Back and in the Squad
Friday, 11th Dec 2015 15:28

Town have confirmed that Ryan Fraser returned to the club this morning having undergone the rehab from his knee ligament injury with his parent club AFC Bournemouth and has gone straight into the squad for tomorrow’s live Sky game away against the MK Dons (KO 12.30pm).

Fraser has been out of action since suffering the knee injury while training with Scotland’s U21s in early October.

The Aberdonian, who is on loan with the Blues for the season, has made eight starts and three sub appearances for Town, scoring four goals.

Speaking yesterday, manager Mick McCarthy wasn't sure of Fraser's fitness but expected him to be close to being able to return to match action.

“It’s really difficult [to say precisely when he’ll be back in a matchday squad] when I haven’t seen him but if he’s doing all his football movements, they’ve let him go, they’re saying he’s fully fit to come back to us to train - to be involved, not to come back to continue his rehab - that he’s training fully, that tells you that really he’s not far off.”

Things that make 3.30 on a friday good:
1) Work finishing
2) Beer nearing
3) Fraser being fit

Great news. Been a huge void since he's been out. With Fraser back and Bru/Bishop still to return, things are starting to look good for us!

Seems strange him not training with us at all - I mean he would have missed any tactical / positional training and analysis on the opposition

Not one player I'd rather have, the kid is a genius, can't wait to see him back in a town shirt again.

We definatly would have way more points on the board had he not been injured comfortably in the playoffs even breathing down the necks of the top 2 such a key player so glad hes back just need to start bashing the bishop and we will be laughing

Great news. Last week demonstrated our lack of fit options with Giles Coke replacing a knacked AMN. Fraser or Coke? Not a difficult one.

Yes! Brilliant news, real shame we couldn't have unleashed Fraser v Mboro - he is a player of true championship winning quality and illustrates the talent Bournemouth had at their disposal last season and he wasn't even their first choice left winger - Mark Pugh was and still is. Not since Keith Andrews have we had such a goal scoring winger and crowd pleaser in the team.

Great News. Not sure if he will make the bench as hasn't trained with our first team for ages.

However a player of that quality should be able to make a cameo appearance as Didsy did last week.

He's young and seems to be the type who gets over injuries quickly. He'll soon be back, I'm betting.

With our injured players coming back I am not expecting to see Coke in an ITFC shirt for a very long time.
