Dyer Joins Burnley
Monday, 15th Feb 2016 18:01

Former Blues target Lloyd Dyer has joined Burnley, signing a contract to the end of the season.

The 33-year-old winger held talks with Town but, as reported last Tuesday, the two parties were unable to agree a deal.

Former Leicester and West Brom man Dyer left Watford a fortnight ago after his contract was terminated by mutual consent.

bedsitfc - good call on the fact that we don't actually own anything in the way of real estate, and the out goings we have to pay.
Perhaps ME is saving up to build us a new stadium, and that's why there is a lack of investment in the playing staff yeh right I'll just go back to sleep.

It's a good job we don't own the ground as no doubt the Evans Corporation would have sold it by now and we would be sharing with Colchester

Surco72. Thanks for the link http://www.insidermedia.com/insider/national/146216-championship-club-club . It makes very sad reading with some clubs loosing more in a year than their income by a factor of two. No wonder that so many clubs owe huge sums. It's not good enough to say these clubs rely on securitisation. That way lies madness. Do remember when Rangers (the Scottish Rangers) borrowed against their projected future ticket sales over a number years! Madness.

Beds - I think Evans owns Playford Road and as it is in the best suburb it would easily sell for millions if if if he could get planning permission. Training ground could move to any famers fields within 10 mile radius. Klug and co have not yet delivered, can't get Level 1, I can imagine Evans pulling the plug on the youth set up, we just don't have the population in our limited catchment area to get 1 ir 2 into the first team on a regular basis.

Algarvefan - i've seen some funny posts before but that one has to be up there for me. You're either not at the games or you're not watching very closely. The paying contingent have a right to vent their frustration as the football is reminiscent of the John Duncan days. No matter whether we're 1st or 24th, its irrespective.

Your point sums up the apathy in Portman Road a lot of weeks. To use an analogy, its like saying, i've been going to the same restaurant for 54 years and ordering steak but i've been getting corned beef recently, however, its OK because its still beef, so i'm happy....

Apathy.

hang on, two weeks ago everyone was slating this potential signing saying he was past his best and that getting him on a free shows no ambition. I'm sickened by these comments. people are just moaning for the sake of it now. it's absolutely pathetic.
now this is being used as an excuse to slate mick "he's gone to play football not hoofball" when none of you wanted him anyway.
wow, sorry rant over.
just sticking up for my team.
