Bialkowski Signs New Town Deal Friday, 19th Feb 2016 14:48 Keeper Bartosz Bialkowski has signed a new contract with the Blues running to the summer of 2018 with an option for a further season. The 28-year-old, who joined Town from Notts County in the summer of 2014, revealed that he was close to putting pen to paper on new terms last week.
“Obviously I’m very happy to have signed a new contract,” the Pole told the club website.
“My contract was up in the summer [although Town had an option for another year] and I had a few calls about what I was going to do but I was only interested in staying at Ipswich and I’m looking forward to the future here.
“I have been pleased with my performances since I returned to the team. I have felt very confident and made some good saves but then that is my job really!”
Bialkowski, who previously had a stint on loan with the Blues on loan in 2009 when a Southampton player without making a senior appearance, is understood to have received interest from clubs in China.
The Braniewo-born keeper has been back in the Town side for the last three Championship games, following Dean Gerken's shoulder injury at Birmingham, and looks certain to keep his place having been in outstanding form in the QPR and Bristol City games in particular.

The better keeper in my opinion and has been excellent of late. Deserving of new deal.

Yes Keannish he would have been a great signing, shame that we never got it done. Agree with you concerning Marshall as well, those two also top the list for me as the standouts. Don't think there's much seperating the rest personally.

I like Bart and personally feel he is up their in this league as one of the best shot stoppers, however he needs to work on other areas such as distribution and when a ball comes in , make sure he runs through walls to get rid, Our defence doesn't help him in some cases.

Bialkowski is a fairly decent keeper at championship level, and as some others have said he is a better keeper than gerken. Glad he has signed a new deal with us. Coyb

This not what we need .We need evens to spend money on players which we badly need so we can climb the table.but he will never do that all we get are freebies and loans . We are worse this season than last season so I'm not excited at all about the news it's not going to make us a better side be ouse of it.as soon as evens f**know off the better for me.

On the face of it I much prefer Bart, He looks more composed. Any goalkeeper is going to struggle to keep clean sheets when they have a average back four. If we strengthened the back four and the midfield, I am sure he would get many more clean sheets.
