Town are staging a four-team U17s tournament at their Playford Road training ground on Friday and Saturday with Norwich, Liverpool and Brentford the other sides taking part.

The competition is a round-robin tournament of 45-minute games with the top two teams then playing a final.

The Blues face Liverpool in their opening match at 6pm on Friday and then East Anglian rivals Norwich City at 7pm that evening before their final group game against the Bees at 11am on Saturday. The final and third-place play-off matches kick-off at 12.15pm. Entry is free but there will be no on-site parking.

Meanwhile, Town have announced that they will unveil their new kits for the 2016/17 season on Friday. The new home strip is rumoured to include blue rather than the usual white shorts.

The club keeps changing the kit,lasting 1-2 seasons only & totally overpriced these days! The Barcelona style kit has hardly been worn by the team,waste of a kit. Plus embarrassing as we play nothing like Barcelona! Hoofball Town could be our new name & new badge - a football sitting on some clouds lol! We'll still play sh*t whatever the kit! I stick to retro shirts now & have plenty of old shirts. Don't really like having a shirt with that wan*er Marcus Evans emblazoned over it if I'm honest! Changes needed at ITFC for next season that's for sure,kit not one of them. Come on Town,let's win this tournament & give us something to cheer about at long last!!

BrettenhamBlue added 08:32 - May 5 I just hope we don't take a good thrashing again at the hands of the Norwich U17's. Our record against Norwich at ALL LEVELS except the U12's has been decidedly embarrassing. I dread playing them twice next year and because of that some part of me hopes they stay up. I hate the feeling of losing to them yet again. The sense of dread pervades pr during those games. When was the last time we even beat them at senior level? There was so much fist pumping going on last season in the first leg that you would think we had won given it was a 1-1 draw. When we fist pump at a draw its not a good sign.
