Teddy Bishop, Jonny Williams, Luke Varney and Dean Gerken have all been named in a strong Town U23s XI facing Cardiff at Portman Road this evening (KO 7pm).

The Bluebirds are fielding a more youthful side and Gerard Nash’s team would appear favourites to win their fourth game of the season.

Town: Gerken, Fowler, Kenlock, Dozzell, Digby, C Smith (c), McLoughlin, Bishop, Varney, Williams, Morris. Subs: Webber, Wright, Benyu, Blanchfield, Patterson.

Cardiff: O’Reilly, Rees, Abbruzzese, Baker, Blaise, James (c), Southam, Patten, Phipps, O’Sullivan, Weymans. Subs: Menayese, Byrne, Wharton, Welch.
