Ticket Offer for Wolves Match
Wednesday, 8th Feb 2017 18:23

Town are offering a 50 per cent discount on tickets for the visit of Wolves for fans with tickets for the Brentford game earlier the same week.

Season ticket holders or those purchasing match tickets for the game against the Bees on Saturday 4th March will be able to make a saving of 50 per cent on up to two seats for the game against Wolves on the following Tuesday.

The discount automatically applies on the ITFC Direct shopping basket so tickets don’t need to be purchased at the same time or in the same areas of the ground.

The reduction only applies to season ticket holders and fans who buy match tickets online or at Planet Blue in advance for the Brentford game but not those who purchase tickets on the gate.

So a season ticket holder who signs up in advance and pays the price agreed at the start of the season, and it went up I might add, lets 2 other people get in for 50%. Great idea for non season ticket holders once again.

Yes this is not at all in the interests of a season ticket holder. But as a business the club's is suffering. it hemorages money EVERY day. (What was it 6m last year?!) It costs far out weigh it's income and as business it has to increase revenue and promotions help this.. those that moan about this do you take your Xmas presents back when you see you could have got them cheaper in the January sales ? No you pay the price at the time because that's what you choose

besides buy one get one free is a great idea if all 12k season ticket holders did it guess what ..... The ground would be full.

I live 120 miles away and cannot commit to a season ticket so when I come up usually 8 to 10 times (+ all the London and SE away games) a year it's usually last minute and on the expensive side but I don't mind because it's about SUPPORTING OUR CLIB

I for one commend the club for doing this. It is about time they started to try and fill the ground

@frantblue I have to take issue with you on a couple of points - firstly regarding Christmas presents yes in fact we do take presents back to the likes of Next and Debenhams if the cheeky beggars put them in the sale less than a week after Christmas and yes we do get money back. Secondly I cannot give tickets away to friends or family at present so why you think they would come because I bought a ticket I don't know.
Thirdly your veiled jibe about SUPPORTING OUR CLUB - I do and have supported the club for near on 40 years buying season tickets and merchandise so I feel entitled to be aggrieved at once again being shafted by the criminals who run it, squeezing every last £ from people like me.
This smacks of desperation and nothing will bring fans back except decent football and McCarthy just cannot bring himself to do that.

I am not sure this will do any good. Fans are not coming due to the price but due to what's on offer. It will still be a gate of 15k against Wolves. I can't see a saving of £10 - £15 packing them in on a Tuesday night. I have already saved £30 this season by not renewing my Silver membership and guess what? I wouldn't have needed it anyway, Plenty of tickets on sale home and away. I won't be getting it next season either, another £30 saved!

Well, I have a season ticket, mainly as I have two young lads of 6 and 9 and get my value out of taking them for a tenner, now I'm getting three seats for not much more than I have been paying for 20 odd years. My bro, gave his up,last year mainly due to work commitments, I felt gutted for him paying £32.50 to watch the Fulham and Derby matches, utter utter garbage so am pleased I can offer him the option of a 50% ticket....... he can buy me a pint before if he wants! :)

It is a combination of the matchday price and rubbish football that have led to 10000 fans not bothering to go anymore.
This is just an example of how badly the club has been managed since Evans took over.
He thought he could access the riches of the prem by splashing cash for a couple of seasons, and bu88er everything else and I fully expect he would have gone a long time ago with his tidy profit. Did not work did it??!!
So now because there has been no long term pricing strategy it`s a panic attack based on hoped for short term gain but at the same time alienating those fans who have stayed loyal.
The whole thing is just a nightmare of their own making

I've got no problem with this. The choice of buying a season ticket is made knowing full well these sort of promotions happen, and I would rather a larger crowd attended to support the team on the field during those 90 minutes than not. Outside those 90 minutes people can do, say, act and protest how they want towards the club.

Attempts to lure back thousands of disaffected fans don't betray season ticket holders. The whole idea is that discounts over time will convert lapsed or new fans into season ticket holders.

Not unless the football dished up on a regular basis changes it won't Bluedandy. Lets hope the last home game was not an exception and becomes the norm!

Poor old season ticket holders, already get your seats 25% cheaper than I do. If you re so hard done by don't renew. Its you season ticket holders that are forcing up the high cost of tickets. They have to charge a higher matchday price to appear to give Season ticket holders a discount. If you all failed to renew they would take more notice of fans feelings and the supply demand factor would push all the prices down.

Carsey, thanks for the reply I can say it's this level of small mindeness that is hurting our beloved club I would have thought the bogof offer would be right up your street given the comments you've made. We as a club have such tempremental supporters/ fair weather support that when it's great we will have a que round the block for tickets to special games or premiership season tickets but when the club needs the support you ( yes I included you even with 40 years of service) cannot find a way to do it as other have pointed out it's away to try to get new occasional fans or even better season ticket holders you might as my point that ultimately this is a way to get more people
SUPPORTING OUR CLUB

Or are you like the other morons on here which would want to see us go bust(during your 40 years you must know that even the magical 80s and then the wilderness 80s followed by the 90s premier league stint were a fraught with tight budgets owners with pockets and breweries deep enough to keep us a float just until the adminstrative early 2000's)

The only way we can get to compete is bigger gates more bums on seats equals more spending power and even maybe more backing from the owner ... We show some faith so may he. But that's me looking at the bigger picture
Besides if you did your Xmas returns you'll have some spare 💷💷💷 for an extra ticket and it's these sales the club needs now
Much love and kisses
