Blues Legends on Life's a Pitch
Saturday, 1st Apr 2017 09:40

Life’s a Pitch is live on BBC Radio Suffolk from the FanZone at lunchtime with plenty of Blues legends, including 1961/62 First Division championship-winning skipper Andy Nelson and striker Ray Crawford and new Hall of Fame inductee Chris Kiwomya, set to join regulars Mark Murphy, legend-in-residence Kevin Beattie, New Tractorboy and TWTD's Phil Ham (12-2pm).

Plenty of ex-Blues were back at the club last night for the Ex-Players’ Hall of Fame Reunion Dinner and a number of them will also be at today's game.

Following the game Crawford, Bryan Hamilton, Mick Stockwell and Pat Godbold, secretary to every Town manager from Sir Alf Ramsey to George Burley, will be taking part in Legends in Legends where fans can collect autographs or have photos taken.

Can Town secure a vital three points against Birmingham? Will the Blues escape dropping into League One? Give us your thoughts on those questions or anything else via email, Mark’s Twitter or during the show by phone on 01473 212121 or text to 81333 starting your message with SFK.

The show can be heard on 95.5FM, 95.9FM, 103.9FM and 104.6FM, and also now on DAB, or online via a widget on this page by clicking here.

How many of the current team aside from Bart (and Lawrence if you can count a loan player!) do you think will be remembered as Legends in the future? A big fat zero springs to mind! Sad but true!

It was nice to see Alfs captain big Andy Nelson in Legends, together with the evergreen Ray Crawford from the 1961/62 title winning side. Both of whom spoke to the gathered throng after the match.
