Just out of interest, who does everyone think will score more goals this season?

Garns or Waggy?

Garns. I wouldn't imagine Waggo won't be walking into the starting XI.

Rangers fans saying he's a confidence player. If fans get behind him I can see him scoring regularly. Could be our default pen taker too judging from his time with R's

WB: "I wouldn't imagine Waggo won't be walking into the starting XI."

So you DO think he'll get straight into the starting 11?

Personally think they both can score 13+ this season, so would take that!

This is great news that he's available for tonight's game. Even if he plays 30mins it'll be beneficial for him

How many they score is very dependant on how many chances the midfield and wingbacks can present them with. Give them good service and quality crosses and it's any ones guess. I can see Garner as the kind of striker that will also allow forward running midfielders (if you can remember what those are) to feed off him and score some themselves.

We always talk about having that 20 goal a season striker, & Murphy tore up that blueprint with his 27, but generally they are hard to come by. What we have now are 4 guys each of whom are 15 (+) a season forwards if they get the game time & their strengths are played to when they're on the pitch.
McGoldrick was flying 4 years ago, then MM changed the play with Murphy leading the line, which restricted Didz's opportunities. When Sears came in to play up front with Murphy he was flying & looked like he'd get 20 himself over a full season; but MM changed it again & Freddie found himself out on the left more often than not - goals dried up as a result.
If used properly there are plenty of goals in these 4 forwards & they give us different options. If they score 50 between them, with more to come from midfield than usual & some from defence, we'll be alright.

Freddie sears is one of the worst strikers we've ever had he is not clinical and passes up on too many chances l, therefore McCarthy is almost forced to play him out wide because he is frankly useless from a goal scoring perspective, he Will never score more than 10+ a season

TractorBoy, he came in in January and scored 9 goals that season I believe. Think it's fair to say if he's played up front, in a decent team, for a whole season he could get 10+ goals.

While skuse in the side with his side and back passing our forwards wont score loads of goals why mm has still got him here i dont know

Yes one season I think it's evident that was a fluke

For a striker to score 15+ goals he needs to start every game and get regular chances. Garns is our main striker and the others will play around him. If garns hits 15 and the other 3 hit 8 to 10 each that would be a fantastic contribution from our forwards!

Great that he has been cleared, but he might regret it if MM rests Downes and Skuse as we have no other fit midfielders to come in with any first team experience in that position.

Garner will score more, Never Going Up. Hopefully he'll start against Luton as the video shows he's a fantastic player.

Good.If Webster McGoldrick Celina Kenlock, one of the two youngsters; and even Gerken plays;together with the other half of Saturdays team then surely we should have enough to see off Luton.

Good luck tonight boys a cup run would be a great boost to all around the club, then get everyone fit and the squad is looking reasonably strong(apart from the premiership class no/8) winning breeds confidence(you listening Mick I know it's a cup game but go out and win it, ah of course this is his downfall no point in setting up for a draw is there hence our awful performances in cup games since he's been here) towards a good season.
