Crowe in Senior Wales Squad
Thursday, 15th Mar 2018 12:47

Town keeper Michael Crowe has been named in the full Wales squad for the first time ahead of the China Cup tournament later this month.

London-born, Norway-raised Crowe, 22, who qualifies for Wales via his grandmother, has previously won U21 and U19 caps.

The China Cup will be new Wales manager Ryan Giggs’s first games in charge with the first match against the hosts on Thursday 22nd March and the second against the Czech Republic or Uruguay on Monday 26th March.

Crowe, who joined Town from Norwegian side IK Start in 2012, is yet to make a first-team appearance for the Blues with his only senior football up to now with loan clubs Stevenage, Woking and Braintree.

Well done young man. I've a gut feeling we maybe seeing more of you next season, as I can still see Bart moving on.

Crowe is third choice, but in the senior Wales squad.

Downes is out on loan, but in the England u-19s.

It seems that international managers value our players more highly than MM.

Can't see him getting a chance under MM , he didn't give him the chance in FA Cup against Sheffield United.

If Bart does go and McCarthy stays then it will be 'Gerks' at number 1.

This is a great thing for young Micheal after being given the vote of no confidence by Mick
As good as Bart is, I think Crowe should be given a couple of games experience towards the end of the season. If Bart does not sign his contract then we need to know if this guy is any good for next season, especially if Gerks turns out to be a sick note
