Once again, mostly PL clubs represented, which seems to point to the quality of our youth set-up. No Naarwich yoofs involved I see. I wonder why?

He's making moves. Only 16 as well and already played at hatful of games at u23m level.

SIDE NOTE: the story of bobby duncan is quite a bizarre one, just walked out of Man City but hasn't joined anyone else since. The cousin of Steven Gerrard, obviously tipped for Liverpool but still hasn't signed there, don't know if he wants to go somewhere he sees an opportunity in the first team. ooooohhhhh Kullgy, get on the blowerrrrrr.

That's only because Liverpool have a ban on signing youth players till the summer.

tractorbot:Could it be that they haven't any more players of the correct age who come from this country.

Correct me if I am wrong, but whereas Liverpool,Arsenal and the Manchester Clubs have a few (in total) Englishmen in their first teams;Chelsea seem to have the least of anybody who would qualify to play for the Home Country.

Don't know if this is the same down the ages;but just athought !

Chelsea don't have many English qualified players is the probable answer

thanks seasider, could well be for this age group but in the u17 world cup last year there were 3-4 chelsea players i think, maybe a few more (I can remember panzo, gueye, hudson-odoi and possibly gallagher and george mceachran)

chelsea have won the fa youth cup (U18 i think) the past 5 years with mostly english players and most young england sides i've seen on tv the past few years have a sprinkling of chelsea lads so it really seems odd that there's only 1 in this squad.

i wondered if chelsea had other commitments or they pulled their lads out for any other reason.

or maybe these guys are just under the age that chelsea or whoever can poach them possibly?

i just googled - spelt guehi's name wrong but yeah all 5 of those i mentioned were in the u17 squad that won the world cup about 6 months ago

i'm guessing they all became too old for this euro's in january but still v surprised to see so few chelsea lads - and really looking forward to watching dylan tomorrow.

I'm planning to go to some of the games. Be nice to have a Town connection.
