Walters: Take Me Home Country Roads!
Thursday, 30th Aug 2018 11:53

Former Town captain Jon Walters has issued a big hint that he’s on his way back to the Blues by posting a photo on social media indicating that he’s travelling to Ipswich today and is already in Suffolk, adding the hashtag #TakeMeHomeCountryRoads.

TWTD was first to reveal that Town are in talks regarding 34-year-old’s return to Portman Road from Burnley on loan yesterday.

Walters’s Instagram post, which shows him on the A14 at Newmarket, is evidence the move has continued to progress and he is expected at the club today to undergo a medical and complete the formalities relating to the move, which is a loan switch until January.

Remember, Jonny, keep to the two right-hand lanes. Not the left. That's the A11. Don't make that mistake or you could end up nowhere.

OK, got to be a sweep on what car he is driving before he gets back to FPR to teach our newbies how it's done.

Am going with.....Mercedes S Class, maybe a few years old !

This is the best signing PH has made so far this season. He'll bring experience, leadership and PL quality to our squad. Welcome back!!!

Hope he doesn't get a driving ban for fine for using his phone to take a photo of his dashboard ;-) Maybe he got Colchester and Chester muddled up too.

I'm excited by this. I think Harrison could learn a lot from him, as well as others of course.

He won't play every game, but his experience away from home will be brilliant. Stick the ball on his head, and he will score. Top work. Just hope we aren't paying his wages in full!

@bedsitfc He left because of a disagreement with Keane (no surprises there).
