U18s Beat Barnsley Saturday, 1st Sep 2018 16:07 Idris El Mizouni, Tyreece Simpson (pictured) and Kai Brown scored the goals as Town’s U18s came from behind to beat Barnsley 3-1 at Playford Road this morning. Jasper Moon put the Tykes ahead in the 21st minute but midfielder El Mizouni, who has made an impressive start to the season and scored the winner at Hull last week, equalised on 65 before sub Simpson put the Blues in front five minutes later and Brown sealed the victory in the closing stages.
The U18s, who this season are coached by Adem Atay and Kieron Dyer, have now won three of their first four games and are second in the Professional Development League Two South table. Meanwhile, Town’s U16s are playing in a showcase game at AFC Sudbury this evening.
