Town boss Paul Hurst says he will make changes to his side when they face Leeds at Elland Road on Wednesday and confirmed he is considering which of his goalkeepers to field.

Hurst says he has no injuries ahead of the game with only the longer-term absentees and Myles Kenlock sidelined at present.

“No, we’re as we were,” he said. “I think Myles is the only one really who is missing apart from the longer-term injuries. That’s good from my point of view, a squad to make some decisions about.”

The Blues manager says left-back Kenlock could be back prior to the next international break.

“Possibly,” he reflected. “I think it’ll be touch and go though, we’ll see. You don’t want to rush hamstrings back. I think the initial diagnosis was a couple of weeks, so there’s a possibility.”

Asked whether he is considering a change in goal with Dean Gerken having made the error which led to QPR’s opener, Hurst said: “I’ve got a few decisions to make. Prior to the game on Saturday, there was always a thought with this week and the games, the opposition and the travelling that I would not stick with the same XI.

“Goalkeepers are no different in my eyes from that point of view, so it’s something that I am looking at.”

In the last couple of games left-back Jonas Knudsen has joined keeper Bartosz Bialkowski on the bench meaning both the Town players who were at the World Cup in the summer have been out of the side.

Hurst agreed that that might look an odd situation: “It may well do to people on the outside. What I would say is they’re not here, they’re not on the training ground.

“And Jonas had a long travel last week [having been away with Denmark]. He played a game, he played near enough the full game and then had a long travel.

“I think if you look at [Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick] Aubameyang, people might think it’s strange he’s on the sideline and coming off the bench.

“I think it’s easy when you’re on the outside to look and think you can make better decisions and maybe not have the full story or have seen everything which contributes to managers making decisions.”

Quizzed on whether he has found a back four which works, the Blues having conceded two more very preventable goals at the weekend, he added: “I don’t think that the goals alluded to are down to personnel or an organisation, a structure. It’s more individual errors than anything.

“I don’t think that’s really something I’m worried about in terms of that. Can individual players play better? Yes, but I think from a point of view of being a unit, I don’t think that’s the case.”

I think you can see there's no passion from the players with these two steering the ship. Burley and Holland? Burley and Butcher? Could be exciting season after all if there's a change come Thursday morning.

He was terrific in his first two years with Sheffield Wednesday and did well with Swansea in the Premier League even though they were relegated. He is a great tactical coach, can organise his teams and would be a coup for Town.

Changing the team again because he doesn't know what to do after the debacle last Saturday. Leeds will be wanting to carve us apart on Wednesday after losing themselves last week. It will be one up front again and everyone in defence. Should be a cracking game of backs to the wall. AGAIN!!! Heaven help us but there is always the chance of a miracle.

The excuses about JK & BB are frighteningly shallow and totally unbelievable ; LC is quoted as saying PH has ' fallen out ' with BB ; totally the same with JK I expect . This is a ' lame dog ' interview from a chap who needs away from the responsibility of running ITFC which plainly he cannot handle ! Nevertheless , Come on You Blues : love doesn't die ,but passion occasionally rests ! Mr Evans do take note of the feelings and the current lack lustre efforts ; even from a distant viewpoint you cannot be blind to what's going on !

I appreciate form needs to be considered, but we need to play players who have scored goals and we need to keep playing them so they gain confidence.

McCarthy provided the owner with four and a half years of (ugly) sticking plaster but a decade of under investment in players, facilities, supporters and a CEO / Director of Football means that in 2018 the cuts have quickly become open wounds. This is a league one squad, on a league one budget, with a league one manager who will soon be playing in front of league one crowds in the championship. Because most of the 18k who had to watch that garbage on Saturday won't be hurrying back to see more. We are heading the same way as Charlton, Blackpool, Coventry and Sunderland. The only consolation is that the likes of Blackburn, Southampton, Wolves, Naaridge, Sheff Weds and Sheff Utd have all been there and come back stronger. But it still doesn't make it something to look forward to.

Until Saturday, I felt there were positives to be taken from most matches and still believe we need time to flush McCarthy's legacy out of the club. I'll support PH as long as he is the manager, but feel Marcus Evans needs to step up and decide whether football is a business he wants to be involved in. I understand it's his money, but football clubs considerably impact the mood of a local community. He needs to review whether his involvement benefits the town or whether his financial situation allows the club to compete.

Gerken really is at best a division 1 player & was Bristol's 2nd string when he was signed. I personally would get rid of him in January anyway. as for some of the other crazy decisions Hurst makes re selection perhaps there is some strange disease in Southern Yorkshire that affects the brain, MM certainly did some weird things. Would be great to get perhaps George B and another of our greats players of the past back. looking back Jim Magilton was actually doing OK when he was given the boot for a "high profile prat"

Play the best goalie on the books - end of. Play Chambers at right centre back for the first time in ages. Play 442 at home Or simply hold your hands up and say glug glug!

Hopefully the new manager takes that option up in January, surely we will get a new manager. Hurst has made some terrible decisions and hasn't shown any passion. He's clearly lost the dressing room and now the fans time to say bye 👋.
