Burton-Based Town-Supporting Landlord Wants to Turn Pub Blue on Opening Day
Thursday, 1st Aug 2019 11:25

Town-supporting landlord Richard Muir is inviting his fellow Blues to visit his micropub the Weighbridge Inn in Burton head of Saturday’s season-opener against the Brewers at the Pirelli Stadium.

“I own the Muirhouse brewery in Ilkeston and have recently taken on a micropub in Burton,” Richard told TWTD.

“We really want the pub to be full of blue and white for the opening game!

"We will open at 9am and will be doing bacon and sausage cobs at £2 each.

“We will be able to organise and share taxis to the ground, which is a five-minute taxi ride or 20-minute walk.”

More details on the Weighbridge Inn can be found on their Facebook page.

just spoken to them. Lovely people with parking just £3 and 20 minute walk. A sense a northern Hamilton Hall COYB

Nath, a cob is what we'd call a roll or a bap!

Actually Nath,
A cob is a small loaf, a small working horse and a male swan.
You can have any of them filled with bacon and sausage as does the Queen but I think they are referring to the former ;-}
