Wycombe Game Likely to Be Postponed Due to International Calls Wednesday, 25th Sep 2019 09:51 Boss Paul Lambert has said it looks like Town’s home game with Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday 12th October will be postponed due to international calls. Speaking about James Norwood’s groin injury at yesterday's launch of Willis Towers Watson's sponsorship of the Junior Blues, the Town manager said it was something which would have to be managed for the next couple of weeks but with a break expected after that. “He’s alright, obviously we’ve got to watch him for the next couple of weeks,” he said. “We’re going to have an international break again, it looks that way, so we’ll see how he is up until then. But so far he’s not too bad.” Quizzed further on whether he anticipates the Chairboys’ visit being put back, he added: “It all depends on if the lads get called up. We need to weigh that up and see where we are with that. It depends how many get called up.” Town are able to postpone games played on international weeks if they have three or more qualifying players called up, as was the case with the Rochdale match earlier this month. So far, loan winger Anthony Georgiou has been called up by Cyprus, while Alan Judge is expected to be in the Republic of Ireland squad, Andre Dozzell is likely to be with the England U20s, perhaps alongside Flynn Downes, Idris El Mizouni with the Tunisia full or U23s party, Armando Dobra with Albania’s U19s and keeper Adam Przybek with the Wales U21s. Also likely to be moved due to international calls is the game at Oxford United on Saturday 16th November.
