Duo in Team of the Week
Monday, 17th Feb 2020 09:59

Town duo Alan Judge and Kayden Jackson have been named in the Sky Bet EFL Team of the Week for their displays in the 4-1 defeat of Burton Albion on Saturday.

The pair each scored twice and picked up an assist as the Blues came from behind to comfortably defeat the Brewers.

Also including this week’s select XI is ex-Town loanee Callum Connolly, who is on loan at Fleetwood - who beat Doncaster 2-1 at the weekend - from Everton.

Superb, Totally agree with the first two comments.

Watching the goals again, Kayden did brilliantly to adjust for the header

We have craved proper football and entertainment for a few years now and Saturdays tasty performance shows we are capable. If we can keep the momentum going, build up some consistency then promotion is a very achievable possibility. Another big positive from Saturday awe inspiring performance was we looked the part going forward, something that's been lacking of late. Credit ‘mainly' to Judge, Jackson and Keane for that.

Nice to see a bit of recognition for our players. Jackson has now got double figures for the season with 6 assists i think well worth the money we paid for him in the current market. Form is temporary class is permanent as they say and this applies to Judge good first touch and distribution with vision. The one thing in common with these two players is that they both work very hard and you can't criticise that. Whether they could play championship football is debatable but you could say that about nearly all of our squad.

Cat dont get carried away Burton were not a very good team so they were easy to play against.
Ive seen all games at Portman Rd this season and they have mainly been very average certainly not good enough to get promoted.
Sincerely hope i am wrong.

LTB57 agree with your view. Burton had a few key players missing so was surprised they folded as other games against top sides have been quite good. We'll have a better idea after Oxford.

Darling is (pretty) local at Cambridge. let's give him a go in Defence next season.

And let's hope Kayden and Judge can get some consistency into their play for rest of season if we to have a chance of promotion.
