Funny how at the beginning of the season Lambert was a god..... Yet now its Lambert out.
Cant see us beating Coventry but 7 out the last 8 are winnable, That will put the team in a possible play off, However they have to win them and If that happens Town will have a real chance of promotion, But they have to play like they did against Burton. (Not placing my House on this) Guess he will be a god again if this happens

I agree with the idea of stability in the club hence the 5 year contract but I feel the timing was wrong.... A bonus for getting the club up then a new contract.

Feel if Lambert had been given some money to spend we would be fighting this out with Coventry and Rotherham. The players that he signed for very little money have been quite good.
Garbutt KVY Norwood (When fit) Wilson Holy...... With Money to spend I would say Chambers and Skuse would have been replaced and Wilson would not have been sign and maybe a tried and tested keeper.
But that I will never know.

Rowe didn't really set the world alight (was hoping for a bit more) but I still think he might have something to offer. Also, look at the average amount of points we secured when Rowe was playing compared to when he wasn't, so that suggests he's well worth having back in the fold. He has a lot of pace, he just needs to be more bold (rather than playing it safe) and go for it so he can get in behind and cause maximum damage.

Yeah,no doubting Lambert made big errors of judgement with the called off games/dropping Holy for Norris etc & i'm sure i'll get slated for defending him BUT like you say,he made some really good signings last summer - he can't do anything about injuries to massively key players - a fully fit KVY,Lankester,Bishop (again),Norwood,Huws,Sears etc would've made a massive difference to us.

Still think whoever's in charge next season needs to really clear out ALL of the dead-wood who have too much of a “powder-puff” attitude - it's been allowed to drag on for far too many seasons.

7 out of the last 8 games would be winnerable if we had a good side but we haven't as its been proved over the season. We can't even beat the poor sides at home.

Play offs? We have no chance and if we did go up imagine what carnage next season would be.

Everybody just wait till Saturday night after the game is over. If it goes badly I think Marcus might make a move but if it does go well sit back and enjoy one of the rare moments this season. It may even improve but don't hold your breath. My hopes have been dashed so many times this year. To make matters worse the Norwich beat Spurs.

Agree but a lot of them have got to play each other Peterborough have still got Coventry and Portsmouth to play for example.
Us against Coventry and Portsmouth nope can see a result Bristol Rover yes and then 6 of the bottom 8 to play Southend and Bolton. If and I mean If we win that will give the Town 74 points which may and I mean may be enough for play offs.

But

We have to play like we did against Burton.

So lots of if buts and maybe and I might put 50 pence on us getting a play off place.

If by a miracle Town do go up 80% of the team have to go as they were the ones who got the team relegated in the first place.
Money will need to be spent and hope the Downs Woolfenden and KVY can make the grade in the Championship (if still with the Town)

Good to see Rowe returning, but in all honesty it's not going to make an iota of difference to our season.

KVY has been out for about half the season now. Now he HAS been missed , but I do wonder if the Club have been overly cautious in getting him back in the side ( PL actually said “ we are being cautious with KVY).

Dont agree with some of the comments above.

Lambert has gotten unlucky with injuries. He also should have been provided with funds in January to strengthen.

However, other teams have coped with injuries, with a smaller and inferior squad. I have always felt we had the players to be at least in and around the playoffs.

I dont recall anyone thinking Lambert was a god. They were pleased he was trying to mend the relationship with fans, address the state of the ground and pay homage to the past. Reading previous posts, many fans were delighted but surprised by our start and felt that we had been fortunate in some of games. There were some who believed, naively, that we would walk the league.

My issue was with the squad rotation and match cancellations which created problems of their own. quad rotation. But also with his complete lack of tactical ability has cost the team. Waiting until we are behind to address a problem, bringing on subs too late......and in the case of the latest game....starting a lad in centre mid who has not even been mentioned....when we have Teddy and Sears on the bench! (Apparently it was a must win). He could never settle on formation and I feel players like Norwood felt particularly frustrated by his rotation. How many goals has Keane scored..........

Ultimately, you cannot overlook his win ration. We have lost 33 of 77 games with Lambert i charge. We are in a lower division yet have only won 4 in 24!!!

It really doesnt matter now because the season is done. But i for one do not want Lambert in charge next season and will not spend another penny on watching ITFC until he has gone. Im fairly certain others feel the same

A clear out of the deadwood is needed.

Rowe isn't good enough sadly. KVY is however a very good player. Hope he returns soon.

Sadly, we have far to many who are not good enough
to put on the Blue Shirt -

so basically we have 2 players injured still and not fully fit. i am unsure what the point of lambert's comments are? more excuses? they fact is they will not be fit for Coventry game which lambert claims he concentrates on (earlier statements that i am only preparing players for the next MUST WIN GAME)

The man has totally lost the plot and is looking for anyway to wriggle out of what is actually happening NOW. Please admit you have no more ideas and manage a National League side which is about your level!!!!

Wouldn't matter if we had Messi, Ronaldo and Salah coming back, the season is over.

If Lambert is to be sacked, it'll be once play offs mathematically impossible and Klug will be caretaker till the end of the season.
