Blue Action Postpone Protest Monday, 4th Jan 2021 13:28 Independent supporters group Blue Action has postponed its plan to hold an organised protest at the Swindon Town fixture on Saturday due to the current situation with the coronavirus in Ipswich and Suffolk.
Blue Action announced in mid-December that they were in discussions with the police regarding a demonstration at the Swindon match.
A statement made at the time outlined the reasons behind the protest: “As supporters, we all have differing opinions on the reasons why we are where we are, but we can all agree we deserve much better.
“This demonstration is the perfect opportunity for anyone and everyone that is dissatisfied with the ownership, management and continued decline of our one-proud football club to have their voices properly heard.”
Blue Action was formed at the start of the 2018/19 season in order to try to improve the atmosphere at home games via banners, stickers and the introduction of new songs, and more recently have produced a fanzine.
Early on in manager Paul Lambert’s tenure they were invited to the training ground to talk about the atmosphere at Portman Road as the incoming boss sought to improve relations between the club and its fans.
But latterly, with the Blues again drifting towards mid-table in League One, they have spoken out about the club’s situation and called for the departure of Lambert on a banner hung on the gates at Playford Road.
They subsequently draped another banner on the perimeter fence at Portman Road reading “Tick-tock Marcus, the future of the club is at stake”.

Bluearmy, when are you going to realise talk rubbish. Surely you must realise that the majority of posters on here disagree with most things you say, not just on this subject, but most subjects. I seriously think you don't believe a word you say either, you just post on here for a wind up and to be controversial. I'm not going to react to you anymore or play your silly childish games. ps why don't you change your username to Jeremy Beadle

Bert, it is your post that is laughable and full of contradictions. You're not happy and don't see how any town fan can be but you can't be arsed to voice that in some way? You respect BA but not me or my aims when they are effectively the same, to make our disapproval known and put pressure on Evans to ship up or ship out?! 😂

The difference BA81 is that Blue Action has a plan but you hide behind a keyboard and do nothing but use words to no effect whatsoever. Show some balance and listen to others and you may learn something. Enjoy the north !

What's your plan Bert? To sit and watch as town plummets further into obscurity like a quiet little church mouse!? Got to love happy clappers. You are well aware I'm doing what I can, I'm certainly doing more than you.

As usual BA81 resorts to insults because he has no credibility. I doubt BA81 is doing more than a feeble Facebook page but I can guarantee that my contacts with the club before the March lockdown are far more professional and appropriate. Happy to share one day over a pint. For now there are far more important thngs in life to worry about than an owner who we cannot change but we can influence over time. Think about it BA81 and learn how to influence people at the right time ie not when supporters and clubs are fighting for their livelihoods or their lives.

Hardly insults, more an analogy. Just because I voice ongoing concern about the club I love in probably our most important season in a generation doesn't mean I'm not aware of the current challenges. Evans and Lambert will use Covid ad nauseum to excuse their failures, no need for you to show them the way/encourage them to. Passive and apathetic to the last! We will go down in history as the fans that did nothing as their club rotted and sank. Ashamed

Problem with town is we have had a tight owner for so long. Sell good players replacing them with average player pocket the spare cash and repeat. Just doesn't work injurys at town have been a problem and haven't get any better over the years. Fund the right manager is what was/is needed

True peewee. Just watched Brentford v Spurs. Pretty comfortable for spurs, Brentford are a top championship side but the gulf was all too apparent. To think when Evans took over we were knocking on the door of the prem. What a massive and protracted failure he's been. I can't see us getting back to the prem for years, certainly not until there are huge changes at the club. It could be a very long wait.

Also at most clubs, fans simply wouldn't just let an owner degrade the quality of the squad without protest or disquiet. He must have felt he's had carte blanche to decimate the squad such has been the fans silence. So poor
