Town are offering fans the chance to pick the walk-out, pre-kick-off and goal music they will hear at Portman Road in the season ahead from a number of options.

The club are asking supporters to vote from the following choices.

The bland lovey happy clappy wishy washy easy nothing music does nothing to whip up emotion. Weak music = weak performance! The music must ready the arena for action! Let the battle commence.... It's SUCH a manipulative contrivance to curate fan's authentic reactions/emotions, and for me is emblematic of the commercialisation of the 'sport-consumer' culture that is slowly squeezing every last vestige of spontaneity from our game. Couldn't they just let us celebrate in our own way, without being duty-bound to commodify EVERYTHING!! I am therefore VERY grateful that they've included a no-music option on the poll; I hope this wins the goal-music category...

Marcus added 08:43 - Jul 22 I think the music should be mixed up, when it becomes too routine it doesn't motivate. It should be there to encourage the players and intimidate the opposition, so too generic does nothing. How about having the previous man of the match choose the walk out music for the next home game? Could help create a bit of playful banter in the dressing room, all good towards team building.

Why has songs about sleeping when you are walking out on the pitch. Something like Two Tribes by FGTH, would be better They should ask Ed Sheeran to write us a song so it's unique to Ipswich Town. Would be great publicity for the club, with millions of fans downloading it. Plus media would want to write the story about it as well.
