Town Allocated Another 1,700 Tickets For MK
Tuesday, 1st Feb 2022 14:45

Town have been allocated another 1,700 seats for the visit to MK Dons on Saturday 12th February having already sold 5,000 tickets for the visit to Stadium MK.

The new tranche goes on sale from Wednesday morning at 10am priced at £22 for adults, £17 for seniors aged 65-plus, £7 for under-18s and free for under-12s. Full details on the club site here.

Town's away following could be as high as 6,700, close to the 7,229 who watched the Dons' last home game against Doncaster even before home supporters are taken into account. MK's biggest attendance this season, for the visit of Portsmouth when the crowd totalled 10,822 with only 2,920 Pompey fans making the trip, seems certain to be surpassed.

MK, who are fourth in League One, five places and 11 points ahead of the Blues, are managed by one-time academy midfielder and coach Liam Manning with former defenders David Wright and Chris Hogg, and keeper Lewis Price all members of his backroom team.

Very frustrating how these are being released in dribs and drabs. Hopefully everyone who wants one will get one... eventually.

Just unbelievable support.....and this for a team in League 1 currently sitting outside the playoffs.

Really hope the players do the tremendous following justice

I would love to go but refuse to give money to franchises like the mk dons. Can't even see how any of their supporters can be classed as proper supporters when they effectively stole an established team and moved it miles away.

These Magnificent Travelling Supporters deserve more than what has been served up in the past two away games, namely Bolton and Wednesday.
Many Wednesday Supporters were shocked at how poor we were, many expecting to be beaten by us.
Our total inability to even threaten their Goal in 90 minutes, was the talking point in the Bar of where we stayed on Saturday night.
Let's not make excuses for abject failure - and sorry folks, but that's what the travelling fans have had to suffer recently.
It HAS to be better than it has been, to keep the level of away support as it is.

The ‘dribs and drabs' approach is cunning as it forces folk to select seats out of desperation (e.g. we're stuck right down the front) before another allocation is released meaning they end up with no empty spaces.

blueboy1981 - who's making excuses? Pretty sure McKenna said it wasn't good enough.

Hope MK appreciate this significant financial contribution that ITFC away fans are making to their promotion push.

What's the capacity given that upper tier doesn't have seats all the way round? I think it's 25,000 if those seats were in place.

Oh!! Scrap that. Haven't been to MK since it was that crappy hockey stadium. Apparently they've put all the seats in now. They should let us have as many tickets as we can sell. Be like Milan all over again.

Stadium MK is 30500, biggest in East Anglia beating our 30311 into 2nd place. Their biggest attendance is a World Cup Rugby Union game of something like 29k.
I remember going to the hockey stadium many years ago when we took up almost 3 sides of the ground.

Jugsy - who said McKenna ? - I didn't … !!!

Just making the point that any excuse, by anyone, for the last two away performances are futile, and not all will keep meeting the expense, and effort in travelling away if it continues.
We have the Players, allegedly anyway, to expert better, and more from them.

4 wins from 6 games, thats pretty dam good, KM will not be resting on his laurels and will want better!

I get the feeling that some feel anything less than 6 wins from 6 is a poor return!

We are improving the football is better and i fully understand that while he is learning his first position in management he may get some things wrong, he will learn more from his players in a below par performance than he will from the easy win at Gillingham. I am so glad social media didnt exist at the start of Sir Bobby's managerial career, he would have been slaughtered by some fans, it took him several seasons to get it right.

I will be going to Mk dons for this match.

Absolutely fanstastic! A new generation is born because such a large following cannot only be made up of we oldies! But then that is ITFC - still a family club.

yes Jugsy and we mustnt forget 4 wins from 6 games has been with 4 away too. Pointless dwelling on saturday, lets face forward and slaughter the Gills and then take our show on the road again. The Away games are coming thick and fast but it will level out soon with Home games coming in a couple of pairs soon. Its never over, and taking almost 7000 to MKD is an awesome achievement.
I was massively disappointed with Saturday too but its done, we need more up front again and we have to go hell for leather next 6 games to give us ourselves some hope
