Massive game this one, could really put MK Dons into difficulty at the start of the season. Looks like Twine ran the show for them - but I'm concerned with our lack of scoring prowess. Ladapo doesn't look like the solution for me and Jackson's finishing was only OK against poor teams last year. Anyone else see it the same? I'd like to see John-Jules leading the line and see how he fares, maybe some combo with Jackson as the 10 for pace and power.

Decent attendance considering MK will bring about 30 fans

I keep reading things about Ladapo, give the lad a chance, he is'nt missing sitters, we are just attacking around him and from the MF.

On the crowd, 22k on Thursday probably adds up to 24500 Saturday, MK wont bring many so its fair enough.

Its a really big game though, need a tonic after Tuesdays game, but if we get it, we go to Burton and Shrewsbury in a very different frame of mind....

Much to eagerly look forward to ;in fact lots to be very hopeful about , and of course equal amounts of tension to go with it !
BUT in the round there's reason for great optimism and we know our Manager is one of the best , with an excellent business team in the background re-shaping for the better everything ITFC ; so let's be positive and totally supportive AND ENJOY !

losing in midweek won't have helped our good attendance figures. Sad but true

Jugsy. Ladapo scored 15 goals last season in only half a season. Thats more then the striker most town fans think we should sign(hirst), managed in the whole season. As yet, he's had very few chances come his way. But has scored 2 in preseason, and ifcnot for a great save by the keeper and a last ditch block last sat, would have had 2 then. Given the chances he'll score goals. While absolutely we need another, imo thr biggest issue we have right now is the lack of supply to the striker/s. At this moment, burns isn't doing anything down the right, so the supply is somewhat diminished to last season. I'm sure he'll settle down and get back to his best soon but that is a concern right now.

Yes Ladabo isn't getting the service at all moment. Not much attacking threat from the full back positions possibly teams have worked us out. Burns is looking a bit leggy with too much football and not much of a preseason. Edwards has got good ball skills but his final ball is appalling and regularly over hits his crosses. Possibly we might be missing Celina who has the ability to spot an early pass 6 goals and 5 assists last season not bad for a inconsistent player bearing in mind Aluko had no assists last season and 3 goals facts im afraid.

after Tuesday night i hope we see a difference , if we dont get a decent win a lot of bubbles will be burst, Dont get me wrong, so far i like KM's approach to things, and im happy we have him as our manager , but some are calling him a ''good manager'', ''the best'' , ect ect, which is a bit premature imo, its his first managerial post and as yet he has not achieved anything , his first hurdle was to get us through to next round in the cup Tuesday, and he ''fell'' as have previous managers, despite talking positive prior to the game. Dont get too carried away ! im predicting an edgy 1-0 win, a draw or loss would be a big kick in the botox .

Well done everyone for our enthusiasm (given that there are three possible scores (in order))
0-0
0-1
1-1
A minimum of 11000 fans per goal. Why do we do it? We don't know - maybe it's the 65% possession but I doubt it.

Just shy of 27,000 against Bolton in the opening home game! That's near 5,000 lower! A good convincing win us required saturday

Churchman's, Bolton brought 1200 and MK maybe 450. Bolton game was 24500 on the thursday and 2200 higher saturday. Why is everybody so negative? We will have 24k+ easily with tickets available on the day

Agree with comments that we shouldn't be blaming ladapo. I also don't think bringing in hirst will magically solve the problem. The system we play hardly suits strikers at this level. We've had bonne, Norwood, pigott and now ladapo (although early days) who have all been prolific at this level (or league 2 in norwood's case) at one point or another, but who seem to not be able to do it in our system. I read somewhere that we had a lower xG than forest green and Bolton despite dominating both games. The issue is the lack of clear cut chances, not the strikers themselves.

you could be right ITFC 95, BUT, something needs to be done and quick if its lack of service , however even when we've created chances they have been wasted by p#ss poor finishing .

Who is this 20 goal a season striker people keep on about. Our football is very entertaining to watch but sometimes we need to get the ball forward quicker. It looks a lot like training ground stuff at times. Maybe they are over thinking it too much and be a bit more off the cuff. I like the look of young Humphreys he's got a bit of Celina in him where he's able to spot a pass early an area where we are lacking at the moment. Hopefully i will be proved wrong tomorrow which i quite often am and we will win 3 0 COYB .

Blues1, where are you getting those stats? He played 31 League One games and scored 11, which is more than half the season - Hirst also had a better goal to minutes ratio than Ladapo . Ladapo's stats aren't better than what we've got already. He's played for a bunch of clubs and never set the world on fire. I always want players to excel for our club but so far I'm not seeing him as the 20+ goal man that a promotion side needs. Maybe that's the strategy McKenna is going for, a man up top who will chase and hustle, but he doesn't look like that goal threat we all crave for. Happy for Jackson and/or John-Jules to have crack. And if he gets a hatful and proves me wrong, I'm fine with that too.

Bazza and Linkboy, Ladapo did miss a sitter at FGR, Burns played a perfect ball across the six yard box that he didn't read. Measuring lack of service by number of assists can be a little misleading.
