New striker needed, could of had Cosgrove…only thing missing, USA pension funding enthusiasm could dry up if we don't get up this season, not being negative just realistic, get a forward that can score

suffolkblueeye, there is only 1 team so far to have scored more goals in the league. Scoring goals is not an issue.

I hope it's not going to be a sombre performance to match our shirts, I wonder what Colour Derby will be playing in?

this will be a tough game, recent results [and the Sky curse] dont bode well, if we get a scrappy win it will do, we just must NOT slip up, there are strong teams around us. We need to hang in there. COYB.

Surely we must break the Sky tv curse sooner or later

What are the stats for Friday night games
I remember Cresswell getting sent off in hugely tedious a 1-1 vs Barnsley - always thought was a very dodgy incident - and Mason and Tarrico scoring vs the Scum on a wonderful evening in the 90's
We beat Tottenham at home 3-1 in the late 70s with a great Muhren volley
we played all of those games in blue?

I'm no budgie I assure you but I too have that dreaded feeling that our soft underbelly has been exposed again and that we have commenced our usual autumn descent. Sincerely and desperately hope I'm wrong.

And there was I thinking this article was about the great 28000+ crowd we have friday!
Do the maths guys, currently tracking 98 points, i read exactly the same nonsense after we lost at Plymouth and then we won three on the bounce.
Why all the negativity? We had a tough game in front of goal against Lincoln. Precisely 1/46th of our league campaign.
KM will no doubt shake the tree up again because the starting line up on saturday was our "first XI" and I could have set up two banks of 5 to defend that. Lets give the boys a chance to get out there and smash Derby and stop talking about players we didnt sign and start getting behind the boys again

This is about response to defeat.
A win lets us put that behind us, a draw keeps us on track, another defeat will feel uncomfortable.

Even after the defeat to Lincoln i wasn't too disappointed as the performance was generally good. But i still think we are lacking quality and composure in the last third of the pitch. If this is not rectified it could mean the dreaded play offs.

'Could have' or 'could've'. It's never been 'could of'. Stop the world I want to get off!!

Chepstow, My thoughts entirely, I down vote anyone who uses, 'could of' and 'should of' Its simple grammar, I cannot believe how many.people get that wrong.

WhoisJimmyJuan I know why you feel like that, but this time is very different. We're going to bounce back and won't finish any lower than the playoffs, the question is, can we stay in the automatic promotion spots?

Bazza8564 What we absolutely must not do is project nervousness in the stands onto the player on the pitch. You could tail that in previous teams, we were mentally weak and were getting the run of the green. So far this season we have been on the receiving end of a lot of bad luck and poor decisions, so it hasn't exactly been a lucky run.

Suffolkblueeye. We have forwards who can score. Harness has 6, Chaplin 6, ladapo scored 3 in 3zgames recently but hasn't had any chances come his way in the past couple of games. They can score if they don't get chances to. Last Saturday was one of those days with our shots. All seemed to go over the top. Having said that we had 32 shots, and while only 5 were accredited as being in target, how many of the 15 blocked shots were on target too. Something we'll never know. Think the time to worry is if we stop getting chances. End of the day, we are the joint 2nd top scorers in the division, so dont get the constant negativity of some fans.

Some elements of doubt going into this next Game on Friday - fully justified too.
But no one is allowed to have doubts - it all has to be ‘hissy fit' stuff, or nothing at all from people it seems.
One thing for sure is the doubts will increase if it isn't 3 Home Points again Derby !! - like it, or not.

Let's not confuse negativity with fear of repeating the recent past. The latter is understandable. But it is different to criticising players and/or management. I have seen very few comments on any threads on this site which do that. For me, I welcome the words of reassurance from others on here.
