Former Blues Loanee Bonne Leaves QPR
Wednesday, 4th Jan 2023 17:08

Former Blues loan striker Macauley Bonne has left QPR by mutual consent.

Ipswich-born Bonne was with Town, the club he supported growing up, last season, scoring 12 times, all but one before November 2nd, and has made only one start and eight sub appearances for the West Londoners this term, the most recent in early November, without finding the net.

The 27-year-old, who came close to rejoining another of his former clubs, Charlton, on loan in the summer, is understood not to be on Town’s list of potential January striker signings.

Bonne has recently been linked with Sheffield Wednesday in addition to the Addicks.

Who wouldn't take him ? - wouldn't surprise me if we end up with nowt of any use !!
Others are leaving us on the blocks again !!
That doesn't surprise me either - after all, not much changes - we've been right here, all before, and not just once either !!

I think we may have stalled at the Lights again - how many times is that ?
We won't pass the Championship Test at this recent rate … !!!

…. but looks like we may have the best Turnstiles in Division 3 come August 23 - so it's not all bad news !

Give the club a chance to get the business done, we are competing for players who others are interested in, this takes time. The club now do not make aware the dealings until they are done, a professional way to handle things. Whittaker for example has been withdrawn from the league leaders and has score a third of their goals this season and got assists, imagine being a Plymouth fan right now!!! We will just all have to wait and see but I believe the club will do OK, as for Bonne it's taking a chance we cannot afford in my opinion, although I loved the guy when he was on form.

Car park Blueboy… A Lot of money to purchase land behind the Churchman's.
To turn into a car park…..until the promised land is reached.

Can the club halt all current spending outside the 1st team squad.
The 1st team should be funded before anything, otherwise all off field investment, which is huge since takeover will be a waste of time.
Clubs trying to get division 3 promotion don't need new car parks.

i'd have him back on a deal to the end of the season, put a target of 10 goals bonus in there to achieve an extension maybe? Could come off the bench and be signed alongside another proven goalscorer for this level. Jackson isn't a striker, he has no end product, just the pace, so effectively we're just left with Ladapo who can find the goal with a tap in but we need more than that. TJJ looks to be returning to Arsenal am I right? Leaving us lacking in options.
