Town drummer Nathan Parris was elected chair of the Official Supporters Club at Wednesday night’s AGM at Portman Road.

Parris had been interim chair since August following Mandy Garner’s to retire after a year and a half in the position.

“It’s a privilege to be able to take on such an important role,” Parris said. “I look forward to making some noise on behalf of the supporters off the pitch, as well as in the stands. 

“Me and my newly elected team are committed to putting on some amazing events for supporters, as well as continuing to grow our network of branches worldwide.

“We’re the voice of the fans, so we’re here to listen to any concerns, questions or feedback that you want us to raise with the football club.”

Also at the event, which featured a question and answer session with Blues legend and now board member Matt Holland, Barry Morgan-Smith was elected secretary and Ollie Smith treasurer, along with committee members Richard Chandler, Lisa Ford, Paul Adams, Phillip Baxter, Barry Calver and Karen Finch. 

The Supporters Club are asking whether any local businesses would be willing to donate raffle prizes for upcoming events, as well as asking fans what sort of events they’d like to see moving forward. They can be contacted via their website: https://www.itfcsupporters.co.uk/.
