Al-Hamadi in Iraq Squad
Thursday, 31st Oct 2024 15:30

Blues striker Ali Al-Hamadi has been named in the Iraq squad for their World Cup Qualifiers against Jordan and Oman during the international break.

The Iraqis, who are currently third in their group, host the Jordanians in Basra on Thursday 14th November and then travel to take on the Omanis in Muscat on Tuesday 19th November.

Al-Hamadi, 22, has previously won 14 full caps, scoring three international goals. He was forced out of the October fixtures due to his ongoing groin issues.

Is he really fit yet ?— especially for international travel and games ?
Perhaps he will need to demonstrate availability ?

If he still has groin issues after surgery in the summer, is he the new Panutche Camara? We did know about these issues when we signed both players.
