Tickets to Women's Final Game Now on Sale
Thursday, 17th Apr 2025 12:34

Tickets for Ipswich Town Women’s final game of the season against Cheltenham Town at the Martello Stadium in Felixstowe on Sunday 27th April, where the team will be presented with the FAWNL Southern Premier Division trophy, are now on sale (KO 2pm).

Joe Sheehan’s side effectively claimed the title and promotion to the Women’s Championship for the first time with a comprehensive 11-0 hammering of the MK Dons at Stadium MK on Sunday.

They remain three points ahead of second-placed Hashtag United with both sides having one match to play but with a goal difference 36 superior to the Essex club, the Blues are, barring miracles, guaranteed top spot.

A large crowd is expected at the Martello Stadium to see the trophy lifted and promotion celebrated. Tickets are available here.

Shame this cant be moved to Portman Road on such short notice but I hope its still a sell out to see the ladies lift the trophy and confirm the promotion they truly have earned

It would be sad to see on one hand, as Felixstowe has been a great fortress, but I am hoping that the Club is actively looking at a bigger venue for future Town Women matches. Two teams in the Championship!

Tried to get a ticket yesterday and apparently sold out. Pitty as I've supported the Women's team for ten years - not every game but three games a year or so, from when they were an amatuer set-up playing in the fourth tier and before the 'new' club house was built at what was then called the Goldstar ground. Will be a great occasion but assume they cannot be declared Champions until Hastag's result is known despite how superior the goal difference is - it has to be mathematically certain. I hope they parade the trophy at Portman Road at the next men's home game, preferably before the match or at half time so it doesn't coincide with the men's relegation.
