![]() Thursday, 18th Nov 2004 11:11 Frank Yallop's Canada side won their final World Cup semi-final qualifying group match 1-0 in Guatemala. Regular skipper Jason De Vos sat out the game but 17-year-old Town target Jaime Peters played a full 90 minutes for his country for the first time. The win was Canada's only victory at this stage of their campaign and Yallop was impressed with his young side: "I am very, very pleased and excited by our performance this evening. I thought we were tremendous. "We came in here and completely outplayed a team that is going through to the final round." De Vos is considering whether to retire from international football, while Peters is weighing up which English club to join with Town, Millwall, Derby, Manchester United and Chelsea amongst his options. Visa issues mean it is unlikely that he will sign before his 18th birthday in May. Apologies for blank previous email, finger slipped.
