![]() Monday, 15th May 2006 09:57 Released Town midfielder Kevin Horlock has joined Doncaster Rovers on a two-year deal. The 33-year-old spent two months on loan at the Earth Stadium towards the end of last season. Horlock had initially turned down the chance to make the move permanent and had been in talks with an unnamed club in New Zealand, probably A-League side the New Zealand Knights. Rovers chairman John Ryan announced the deal: "This is a great signing for Rovers and we have worked hard to convince Kevin to join us permanently after he had gone back to look at his options. "We have had many discussions with Kevin and his agent, which have led to him joining us. Kevin will add quality to the midfield with his calm experienced head commanding the centre." Horlock joined the Blues on a free transfer from West Ham in the summer of 2004 and failed to score in 62 appearances.
