Coventry and West Ham are also linked with the player, described by the official Tranmere site as: "A quick-thinking, hard-running midfielder, who is willing to look for the attacking option rather than making a negative pass, as well as being blessed with imagination and plenty of energy."

No New Injury Worries Mon 30th Oct 2000 10:17
Town have no new worries after Saturday's victory over Middlesbrough. None of the players who were being treated for knocks last week have suffered any new fitness blows and it looks like the Blues could be at full strength for Wednesday's game with Arsenal in the Worthington Cup. Whether George Burley will pick a full strength side is another matter as the opposition have already said that they will field an understrength side, probably one bearing a marked resemblance to the side that beat the reserves 3-0 two weeks ago. Town left first choice players out of both legs of the last round tie with Millwall.

Lunchtime on Saturday saw the first of Town’s Fans’ Forum take place at Portman Road. About ten fans were invited to discuss issues related to the Matchday Experience — pretty much everything related to the matchday except the actual match itself. TWTD was lucky enough to be amongst the group of fans covering all ages, sections of the ground and genders. The club were represented by Commercial Director Paul Clouting, Director of Communications Alesha Gooderham and Affinity Manager Richard Powell.

No Worries for Town Fri 27th Oct 2000 10:37
Town have no injury worries for the weekend with all the minor knocks received at Bradford mended. Marcus Stewart (toe and leg), Jim Magilton and Mark Venus, James Scowcroft (all ankle problems) were all under treatment earlier in the week, but all are OK for Middlesbrough. The main question is really whether George Burley wants to change a winning team. Mark Venus has done well standing in for Titus Bramble, but the wonderkid is now free of his cold and could regain his place. Up front Richard Naylor has failed to score in any of his starts so far and Burley might recall James Scowcroft. The Town ticket office had a small number of tickets left this morning and were selling to Portman Plus holders.

The Blues' manager said: "It is news to me. We have had no offers for James. We are not looking to sell our good players. We are looking to add to the squad."
