Town to Move for Mullins Wed 25th Oct 2000 19:52
Town manager George Burley may be interested to discover that long-time Town target Hayden Mullins has been transfer-listed by his club Crystal Palace. England U21 international Mullins has been transfer-listed by manager Alan Smith along with Jamie Smith and Clinton Morrison for an alleged breach of discipline. Town have been linked with Mullins on several occasions over the last year or so with the link particularly strong in the close season prior to 99/00. His availability may raise the Burley eyebrow, although the background to his listing may put the Town manager off. He's never been that keen on troublemakers has he?
Scowy Leicester Link Wed 25th Oct 2000 16:51
James Scowcroft is claimed to be a target of Leicester City in reports today. The Town striker or midfielder has been admired by Peter Taylor since his days as under 21 manager when he gave Scowcroft more than the odd run-out. Taylor was reported to be at the reserve game with Arsenal last Wednesday and may see the Stanton-based player as an ideal replacement for Stan Collymore who is set to end leave Leicester after another bust-up. Town manager George Burley said of the story: "We are not looking to sell good players, we are looking to add to the squad."

Nothing New on Verheyen Tue 24th Oct 2000 10:46
Town manager George Burley has said that nothing new has happened on the Gert Verheyen front (see most of this month's early stories). It now seems unlikely that the Belgian will join the Blues and the Town boss is looking elsewhere for that elusive attacking midfielder: "I still think we need another quality player to complete the jigsaw for the season. Finding the right player for the right price is the problem."
Tesfaye Town Link Mon 23rd Oct 2000 12:00
Tesfaye Bramble, older brother of Town centre-half Titus, is once again being linked with the Blues. The striker, currently with Cambridge City, was on Town's books as a youngster and has also spent time on trial at Portman Road. A year and a half ago Bramble senior had a spell on trial at Tottenham and was set to join Spurs, however Chelmsford City, then his club, wanted too much cash for him. He has also had a spell on trial at Nationwide League Division One club Norwich City. Whether there is any truth in this latest link is anybody's guess, although he obviously has strong ties with the Blues.

No word so far on injuries suffered during the bruising 2-0 win at Bradford on Saturday. Marcus Stewart was substituted limping quite badly and Jim Magilton was replaced by James Scowcroft near the end.
