9000 Miss Out on Season Tickets Sun 23rd Jul 2000 20:19 Town are set to announce this week that 27,000 people applied for season tickets, 9,000 more than are available. The club have endeavoured to allocate tickets to supporters with a record of loyal support. Presumably the club database has been examined with a fine tooth comb in order to make sure faithful followers during the Endsleigh/Nationwide League seasons have been rewarded for their years of support above glory hunting Johnny come latelys. How well this has worked will become evident over the next few days when unlucky fans will begin posting on the TWTD Message Board and the letters start appearing in the local press. The huge over-subscription also means that the 2,000 matchday tickets will also massively over-subscribed. The likelihood there being that non-season ticket holders will only get to see a couple of games this season. |

More Woe for Scow Sat 22nd Jul 2000 17:05 James Scowcroft is once again Town's unlucky man with a hamstring injury putting him out of the pre-season tour. Scowcroft missed the play-off final with a hamstring tear sustained during the second leg of the semi-final with Bolton and is hoping this new problem isn't related: "I desperately hope it's not the same problem I suffered over the closing stages of last season. That really set me up for a heartbreaking time." |
