Further to this morning's news about Family Night Football, here are Town's reserve fixtures for the season ahead:
Johnno Logan Sign On! Fri 21st Jul 2000 11:32
Both David Johnson and Richard Logan have signed four year deals with Town. Blues' fans will be most pleased to see Johnno put pen to paper as his relationship with the club has not always been as smooth as it might have been. When Town sold Alex Mathie and Danny Sonner in quick succession it was Johnson who stood up and accused the club of having no ambition. Now the striker sees things very differently: "I’m pleased to be signing a new four year contract. The Club has strong ambition and this is demonstrated by its return to the Premier League”. Manager George Burley said of the Jamaican born player: "We are very pleased David has signed a new 4 year contract. He has been our leading goalscorer for the last 3 seasons and at the age of 23, he will just keep on improving and show he is capable of scoring goals in Premiership." Logan is one of a number of promising youngsters hoping to make an impression on the first team this season. Burley said of Logan: "Richard is a youn!
Girlfriend Did Have Role in Choice Thu 20th Jul 2000 12:59
It seems Claus Jensen's girlfriend was involved in his transfer decsion after all. Reports this lunchtime claim she chose London above Ipswich because of the closer proximity of airports.

Town have left for their tour of the Baltic. The squad is as follows: Richard Wright, Keith Branagan, Fabian Wilnis, Gary Croft, Jamie Clapham , Tony Mowbray, John McGreal, Manuel Thetis, Titus Bramble, Matt Holland, Jim Magilton, Jermaine Wright, Martijn Reuser, James Scowcroft, David Johnson, Marcus Stewart, Richard Logan, John Scales, Wayne Brown and Stuart Niven. Interesting omissions are Sean Friars and Neil Midgley, no word on why they have been left at home. Fabian Wilnis has not gone out with the squad initially, but will catch up later as his wife has gone into labour.
Jensen Signs Five Year Deal At Charlton Thu 20th Jul 2000 12:25
The transfer of Claus Jensen to Charlton has been completed. The Dane has signed a five year deal with Alan Curbishley's club. The £4 million transfer smashes the Addicks previous record transfer, the £1,017,000 paid for Neil Redfearn to Barnsley two years ago.
Jensen to Charlton Confirmed Thu 20th Jul 2000 11:30
Our sources are confirming that Claus Jensen has agreed to join Charlton once he has passed a medical. The player's agent gave the Town manager George Burley, now in Finland for the pre-season tour, the news this morning by phone. George Burley now has to look in other directions to strengthen his squad.
Jensen to Sign for Charlton Today Thu 20th Jul 2000 11:08
Charlton sources are reporting that Claus Jensen is currently in talks with their chairman Richard Murray. They claim that the Dane will sign later today subject to a medical. According to the official Charlton website: "It is understood that the Addicks have seen off the challenge of promotion rivals Ipswich to clinch the Scandinavian's signature." Presumably the girlfriend changed her mind about having a look round.
Girlfriend to Make Difference for Jensen Thu 20th Jul 2000 10:59
Reports this morning suggest that Charlton are favourites in the race to sign Bolton midfielder Claus Jensen. Although claims that he had a medical at the Valley yesterday evening are being refuted it seems that the "fantastic offer" Bolton sources talked as having been made by Alan Curbishley's club are enough to take the Dane to London. However, all may not be done and dusted as Jensen is not finalising anything until his Copenhagen-based student girlfriend has been over and had a look round. So in our opinion the whole thing is up in the air, he could go to either club. Ultimately it all may depend on whether she is studying Urban Brutalism or Lovely Rural Countrysides at college.
