Aluko was outstanding in midfield. Got properly stuck in and rarely gave ball away. His left foot is a wand. One magical pass to Penney. He must me the only person put of 29k who saw it

good performance all round but some lack composure in final third. Great to have Burns back and shame he couldn't get on scoresheet. Thought JN did well but he just needs to steady himself at times and take a bit of time.
Big plus for me was 2 strikers as it put Sunderland on defensive. Will be interesting what Kieran does!

I think most fans will be satisfied if the players give their all on the pitch although it was disappointing not to win the game. Not even going to criticise any of the players today probably our most passionate display of the season. Be interesting to see if there is any comings and goings in the January transfer window.

Donancien produced electrifying magic, the front two presuurised throughout, we sang our hearts out and a win was only a fraction of a ball lace away.
