|Honest from Lambert|
at 12:37 6 Mar 2020
I do believe he really cares about the club and I think it´s too early to sack him. There are a few things that I don´t agree with. First, about buying players.Yes, ideally we maybe should have bought one or two players in January. However, the squad is decent enough to begin with, we got a few nice additions in the summer that are not too bad for a League One club. What money has Fleetwood invested? We really should be doing better with what we´ve got. Also, buying players or signing loans..where do that put our youngsters that are so often talked about? Maybe the simple truth is that we need to integrate more of them in the next couple of years and maybe be prepared to be in this league for a couple of years still (I am still grasping on to a little glimmer of hope for this season, but I do realise the chances are very very slim).

Yep, Lambert got it wrong. Should have started with Bish and Sears. Woolfenden should always start, in my opinion. I don´t envy Lambert with the injury and suspension situation. Downes, Jackson, Norwood, those are important players. I am still Lambert IN, but I realise that the slump can´t continue for too long.
Supporters..Ok, I am from Sweden and I don´t have to witness the dross often served up live every week (though I do watch on Ifollow) and I understand the frustrations. However there was zero atmosphere yesterday (even before the kickoff, when the supporters didn´t know how crap it was going to be..) "Evans...get out of our club"..what the h*ll of good would that do? What is your plan B, lets hear it...? Most fans are great, but some of the negativity is unbelievable, look at the Ipswich Town "Fans" Facebook page..
Some fans are urging for more of our young players to be given a chance and when they are...how do you think they will feel being booed? (even if the boos are aimed at Evans/Lambert and not the players, I am sure the players are affected as well).
It´s just sad. I was really certain we would go up this season, but maybe we are having a late serious hangover from last season and need more time to regroup and rebuild.

So, now most of the moaning have been done..any positives to take from today?
I guess not many will agree with me, but I thought we showed a bit more urgency going forward today compared to the Gillingham game. On the other hand, we looked even worse defensively.
Freddie looked a bit rusty in the beginning, but caught on after a while. Good to have him back.
Hm..that is it, I think.

I am struggling to choose between Jacksons attempted pass to Norwood or one of Nsialas defensive lapses.

I know he isn´t the most popular around here, but I though he was good yesterday (let it be against average opposition). Still think he can be a decent player.
