 | News Comment | Philogene: A Special Performance For Me at 16:56:08
Yesterday he was better than any performance I saw from Hutchinson. Lets hope he keeps it up, confidence must have grown. Fantastic! |
 | News Comment | Town Agree Fee For Norwegian Youngster Egeli at 11:04:57
Nice one! Hats off to the club for starting to spread our wings around the European (and beyond) market. My only concern is that some fans will be a bit too hasty in their expectations of Egeli. He is young and may need some time before he is ready to step into the team. We are, in this case, buying potential rather than a finished "product". |
 | News Comment | Egeli: I Know There's a Town Bid, Up to the Clubs to Agree at 08:13:10
Whether we sign Egeli or not, we need more quality players through the door. And we need creativity, speed and passion. I'm not one of those who is overly negative, there is quality in the squad and I'm convinced that things will turn around. But if we are to take steps towards the very top, we need to open our wallets, no doubt about it. |
 | News Comment | Town Eyeing Uruguayan International Defender at 17:09:19
Doesn´t mean much, but highly rated on sofifa and other football management sites. Nothing wrong with getting more quality in, and I think it´s great that the club have started to look abroad for talent. Greaves have done ok, but I am not totally convinced yet. Woolf - love him, but maybe he wants to play more regularly? |
 | News Comment | Como Striker Azón Set to Complete Town Loan Switch at 10:20:02
Seems like a very promising player, good work from the club. But please not many more loans now, I want long term stability and a core of players that sees Ipswich as their home for three years or longer. |
 | News Comment | Broadhead Travelling to Wrexham After Fee Agreed at 10:06:08
Great creative player. not at least coming on from the bench. Akpom coming in is fair enough, but I am really hoping more players are close to joining. We look short of creativity at the moment, some quality additions is needed, especially as Hutch is on his way too (?) |
 | News Comment | McKenna: Hutchinson Didn't Feel That He Could Contribute Today at 09:23:21
While I understand that a football career is short, I think many of today's players are thinking far too short-term. Get in there, fight for the team while you're under contract, and if all goes as we all hope, you'll be playing Premier League football again next season - aged 22. |
 | News Comment | Town Make New Cajuste Approach - Report at 09:00:24
i have a feeling that Jens really want to be here. But of course there are other factors, like agents, etc. And I can also understand the financial and ambitional aspects, a players career is fairly short. |
 | News Comment | An Outstanding Football Coach at 19:15:55
Linkboy13..are you serious?? Lack of investment?? What do you call the years under Marcus Evans then? We are aiming for a category one acadamy, that is not a sign of lack of intent/investment. Wish Bryan Klug all the best, and he sure has developed a lot of talent at ITFC. But sometimes change is not so bad, for either part. |
 | News Comment | Assistant Keeper-Coach Martin Leaves Town at 13:29:52
We have a huge backroom staff now, which will mean more people will come and go. Some positions will probably be tweaked etc. I prefer this to when Evans, Clegg and Milne was the "backroom staff", and that was it. |
 | News Comment | Tuanzebe Set to Join Burnley at 17:33:34
THis might sound like sour grapes...occasionally a good player, but injury prone and not THAT great, as some fans make him out to be?! Good luck to him! |
 | News Comment | Norwich Target Long-Serving Town Academy Coach Klug at 08:49:21
While I appreciate everything he has done for the club, and I wish him something better than the scum, I do think change sometimes is good. As some other posters have indicated, it has been a while since the academy has been a force (of course there a exceptions like Woolfy and Humphries). The owners and the powers that be are not playing around anymore, they want results in every department of the club. Sentiment is gone from football, and that is, like it or not, gone for us as well. |
 | News Comment | Phillips: McKenna Made Me Believe in Myself Again at 08:04:01
He had a decent little spell in the middle of the season. Unfortunately for him — and for us — those niggling injury problems kept him out too often. It was a gamble that didn’t pay off. If we’re being honest, we probably wouldn’t have been able to recruit him if it hadn’t been a gamble. |
 | News Comment | Harrop: Looking Back, I Should Never Have Joined Ipswich at 10:13:46
My first thought when I read about Josh Harrop was "crap player," but after reading the article I feel like I’ve received a valuable reminder. There can be so many reasons why a player doesn’t succeed—so many things going on behind the scenes that we as supporters have no idea about. And in the end, the margins are actually quite small (injuries are often a contributing factor) between the footballers who go on to have successful careers and those who fall by the wayside. |
 | News Comment | Keane: We Knew It Would Have Been a Stretch to Sign Sol at 15:36:15
Keane was a strange appointment from the beginning. Didn´t understand the family feel at the club and tried to change everything that has made us "unique". As a manager he was probably one of the worst for us, but I must say that I enjoy him as a pundit. And I almost salute him for asking for a meeting with that fan at the car park, he seemed like a total bellend. It has been almost 15 years since he was sacked, we have come a long way in the last few years. Let´s move on. |
 | News Comment | Edmundson Fee and Personal Terms Agreed at 13:23:51
Agree with most posters. Good servant for the club and good luck at Boro, George. Now, I don´t mean this as a negative, but from what Greaves have shown this far I am not sure he is such an upgrade from servants like Edmundson and Burgess...? Time will tell (not saying I am giving up on him yet, in fairness he has been hit by injuries etc). |
 | News Comment | Morsy: Muric Has Become a Little Bit of a Scapegoat at 09:12:51
Yes, Muric has made mistakes, but as Morsy says he has also made some excellent sades. It was the right decision to give him a rest, but I dont like that a small portion of Town fans always seem to always be looking for scapegoats. |
 | News Comment | Former Boss Keane Rows With Fans at 14:30:40
I'm no fan of Roy Keane's stint as a manager at our beloved club—who is? But as a football pundit, I think he's pretty good from what I´ve seen, and he was there to do his job. I really don't understand fans who waste energy yelling at a former manager instead of just enjoying what an amazing performance our team delivered yesterday. |
