Ipswich nightlife
at 19:32 10 Jan 2023

Out in Town after the game on Saturday. Not been out in Ipswich for years so am curious as to where is decent to go after dark. Looking for somewhere with music & a bit of atmosphere rather than a pub. Is there anywhere left that is decent? Anywhere with a few cougars on the prowl even better.

I’m in Lower Sir Alf hope there’s a few of us there to get some noise going.

As has been widely mooted he’s going to be recalled by Swansea in the next day with Derby & us bidding for him. Argyle have tried to keep him but can’t compete financially. I know it’s been rumoured of our interest but this has come from a contact at Plymouth end. Apologies if wrong & I’m not trying to be a def info merchant, but if true then our intent is clear. Believe he’s played for Derby before but could McKenna & Ashton tempt him here.

Shared Season Ticket
at 15:06 7 Jun 2021

Weird one I know but I want to buy a season ticket to help fund the club (especially as turnover is a big thing) but I live in Stoke on Trent. I travel down for work on Tuesdays & Wednesdays so can only make midweek games. If anybody is in the opposite boat of only being able to make weekend games & has an interest in a season ticket sharing option please let me know.

Accrington Away

Driving over from Stoke on Trent this Sunday. If anyone is struggling for transport & in a close proximity & needs a lift direct to the ground I’ve got 1 spare seat.

Up the Town!

I'd take some more of this up at the Custard bowl next month!

Block D Cobbold Stand
at 14:35 21 Nov 2017

Thought I'd try Block D for the first time ever for the Wendy game as it's only £15. Has anybody sat here before?

As the ticket prices are so astronomical normally is there anything different here to the rest of the ground (apart from view, padded seat, lack of singing & blankets at the ready)

Derby game in Sir Alf
at 23:35 10 Oct 2017

Coming down from Stoke on Trent for this one & got a couple of hardened Rangers fans with me for their 1st EA derby.

I know sadly it's not going to sell out but I was in the Sir Alf Lower for the budgie play off game, & the atmosphere in there was the best I've heard in there since the Bolton play off game. Infact I was so up for it I even spilled on to the pitch when Ando buried that equaliser (hence the blurry avatar)

Obviously this game doesn't have as much at stake but I just hope we give a good account of ourselves in that stand & don't depend on the SBR stand to make all the noise. I get that singing isn't for everyone but it is for me so those of us who want to make noise let's raise the roof & do those custard shirt wearing s**m bags! Imagine being so close to see the glum look on there faces if we beat them!

Julien N'Goy
at 18:08 5 Jun 2017

Apparently we're interested in N'Goy. I've got a season ticket at Stoke (wife's a fan) & have seen him on a few occasions. Belgian U21 International & has pace to burn, just needs a run of games.

Saw it on Facebook on the Stoke equivalent of TWTD. Just follow the link. Their source is EADT.

Transfer Targets
at 15:06 5 Jun 2017

I can just hear it already..

Milne interview in July 2017:

"The reason we haven't signed anyone this summer is that Premier League sides don't announce their squads until September 1st, so we need to wait & see if our targets are included in those, as Mick has his eye on a number of exciting loan players"

Just been watching a showreel that happened to mention our most expensive goalkeeping mistake so decided to see what he's been up to since retirement.. I wish I hadn't bothered.. Horrific human being!

Most cringe worthy pre match / half time entertainment

What has been the most cringe worthy pre match / half time entertainment you've ever seen at a football ground.

I think ours must surely be those shocking cheerleaders that used to dance on the centre circle!
