Lots of funding going on for the ladies team
at 10:22 27 Jul 2025

I do wonder what attendances will be like at Colchester. Match tickets were a reasonable price at Felixstowe, with street parking. If Colchester charge for parking that could put some off.

Bit sneaky to include a £4 delivery charge for stuff which will probably go straight in the bin

Should have an option to either not have it, or at least to be able to pick up from the store (Unless I'm missing that option)

So, how many league wins did you see in person?
at 15:13 28 May 2025

1 - Spurs away. Work have hospitality tickets at Spurs. A few other Town fans were there too.

Missed the Chelsea game as I was in hospital having major surgery which saved my life after rupturing my bowel at Christmas (missed about 3 or 4 other games after too. V. disappointed that we couldn't get a win when I returned.

I need more surgery this summer so I better survive so I can see us win again.

That Lowry-inspired Callmeted poster...
at 11:12 20 Nov 2024

The way he mentioned how he had to balance all views and included manager, players, etc I thought it might well be an objection by them. Maybe players see being on the programme (especially in the PL) as being more important than it seems.

If so I can understand that, I guess. I can't imagine an objection by anyone else (including sponsors) would have caused them to be dropped so readily.

Personally, I'd have much preferred the callmeted covers as they are unique collectibles and a pullout version is not the same. I bought them for that reason, but not since the change. However looks like they are not being reinstated.

Has security tightened up on drinks?
at 18:22 3 Nov 2024

Security were very rude to the guy in front of me going into SAR stand, shouting for him to empty his pockets without any explanation, just wealding his magic wand like a bat. Poor old fella fumbled out his glasses case and gloves with his hands shaking. He treated him with no respect whatsoever.

I was preparing to be a bit more bolshy but he just waved me through. Not sure if that was because a queue had built up or because I'm 6'2" and he was just a bully.

And if they are the row in front, they whack your knee with their elbow every five minutes as they get it in and out of their pocket.

Couldn't hear in upper Churchmans. And they don't put the substitutions on the scoreboard, so if you can't see the big screen you have to rely on guesswork for the opposition.

Free park + ride

Has anyone tried to buy the free P+R tickets? I get a message that 'code has been used a maximum number of times' when I've not used it before. Other family members had the same.

Only thing I can think is that because I used it for the Huddersfield game (different code though) I can't buy for this one.

Managed to buy using App on my work phone so code clearly works. Anyone else had similar issue?

I have a ST and Man City (a) ticket so nothing to gain here, but I wouldn't have quibbled if it had been a half priority / half ballot system.

I'd have probably missed out if that had been the case, but it would have seemed fair. I know the club is in a difficult place with this but have to agree I was a bit surprised by the split (2,940 priority sale/60 ballot).

I think their aim is it doesn't become a closed shop but I don't see how 2% achieves that. They are never going to make everyone happy but the chances in the away ballot do seem tiny.

As for home tickets that seems skewed the other way. Only having 1 game qualification means any priority is almost non-existent. Home ticket ballot is luck, followed by a sale which is also down to luck. Again, I'd have thought half should be sold with a proper priority system and half in a ballot would have been fairer.

But as I say, they are never going to make everyone happy. Hopefully those that feel they are missing out manage to see the team a few times.
