| News Comment | McKenna: No News on Philogene at 19:18:09
Glad to see we have many ITFC employees on here commenting, who I assume are all working on trying to get this deal done and knows all the ins and outs of what's going on. Makes me cringe when I see comments on here thinking this is Philogene's doing and has nothing to do with Villa or his agent. Strange how a lot of you believe the player has the final say on any of this and holds the power. Could be endless reasons, but if you think Philogene is sitting down with his agent telling him that he wants to mess around and delay this, maybe stick to FPL. Could even be on our side not accepting some terms which Villa has thrown in last second. We just don't know, but my gut is telling me the kid wants to come here and play. Which young prospect wouldn't want to come here and work with Kieran? |
| News Comment | McKenna: Donacien Said Emotional Goodbyes at 18:19:27
I genuinely thought he was one of our best 1v1 defenders at the club and only gotten better going forward over the years until the injuries and Kieran's take over. Top guy, top footballer and thank you for helping us get here to where we are today. Forever a blue JD. |

The one's saying we should get rid of Chappers, Taylor, Burns etc... They still offer a valuable spot in the squad. I had my doubts for Chappers to be able to step up in the Prem and the times he has been in especially in his last 3 games he's been involved in, he's prob been one of our best players. He proved me wrong and I'm so glad he did. They are adjusting to the prem but I still believe they got it in them to hold a squad spot. Also if we do go down, these guys are good enough to smash the Champ and get us straight back up. Taylor has been given time to develop and you can see how much he has progressed in this last year. He even looks physically so much bigger than he did before as I can only assume that Kieran and his management told him he needed to bulk a bit, evidently it has worked because every time he has come on, he's been quality. Only one where I feel maybe a loan spell could do them well is Woolfy and H.Clarke, and that hurts me to say. But I don't think their town careers are over, they just need more football and something to fight for, a loan could do them well. Good start to the window! |
| News Comment | Walton Nominated For Save of the Month at 18:18:23
I was hoping Sky would include Walton's save in the highlights because I genuinely could not believe he pulled it off. What a save that is. Thing of beauty, but yes I think on style points Walton's but putting my football brain on, Martinez... I still remember his heroics against us at PR. Any other keeper and we would of beaten Villa 4-2. |
| News Comment | Maresca: Second Goal Killed the Game a Little Bit at 12:33:02
What are these shots off the line he's talking about? We watching different games or? Though fair play, doesn't seem to make excuses like some of the other big boy managers. Little similar in the way he talks about the game like Kieran does. I will say, if they weren't offside for the Jao Felix equaliser, it really could of been a different game for us. |
| News Comment | Cunha Banned For Two Games and Fined For Town Melee at 12:28:22
What a joke. FA are just a laughing stock at the minute. 2 game ban only while also pocketing 80 grand? Wouldn't surprise me if they negotiated with Wolves and offered them a 5 match ban with 25k fine, OR, offer 80grand and only a 2 match fine. Not stating that as fact, but it just wouldn't surprise me the FA trying to make some dollar out of this. Total embarrassment. |
| News Comment | Ipswich Town 2-0 Chelsea - Match Report at 21:59:51
Had a game plan and the boys executed it to perfection. MOTM: Delap - absolute unit and those Chelsea centre backs couldn't handle the sauce. Omari showing us why Kieran wanted him back. Cajuste and Morsy work horses. Leif defensively was immense, showing he can defend at the highest level not just go bombing forward. O'Shea immense, he's growing on me as each game goes on. What a game to get our first home win. Table looking a lot healthier now. Bring on 2025! COYB! PS - Can we not think of another chant for Delap? The current one is sh*te lol. "We've got Delap. Super Liam Delap. I just don't think you understand. He's Kieran's man. He's better than Zidane, We've got super Delap" |
| News Comment | Ipswich Town 1-2 AFC Bournemouth - Match Report at 16:17:00
I am one of the upbeat and positive fans on here but I have to concede we are going down. Kieran's got the best out of this group and I think we're at maximum capacity. Bar a miracle turn around if we can sort a run out after December I just can't see it happening or if we pull off some incredible signings. Still love watching us play in the Prem but we can see why people say we got promoted too soon. I just hope for our sake Kieran stays once we go down and we can hold on to the likes of Delap and Davis on hopefully rebounding back up to the prem. Shoutout to Burgess today, was immense and can't fault him for the first goal. We move onto the next, I will be supporting them no matter, even if we get trashed 5-0 every game. We go again boys! | News Comment | Cajuste: Incredibly Frustrating at 12:04:47
I hope we stay up simply so we can keep Cajuste, he's been class recently. He seems to be growing in each game, can drive the ball forward once he opens up the space for himself. KP might be warming that bench most of the season. |
| News Comment | McKenna: We've Lost Tuanzebe Long Term at 16:10:04
Axel has made such a difference each time he's been in the side. He's defensively sound and probably our best 1v1 defender. I'm worried and now we're about to miss him for the run against Palace, Bournemouth and Wolves... |
| News Comment | Ipswich Town 1-1 Manchester United - Match Report at 18:47:40
I know he didn't score today and really should of put that first chance to bed... But Delap... We could be witnessing the birth of something special (and thank god he's English!) Apart from the first 2 minutes, got to be proud of that performance, we looked like a proper side competing in this league. We could of won it today, 4 points from Spurs and United which no one was expecting including myself. The defeat to Everton with the sucker punch equaliser draw to Leicester, we all were going into the next 2 games expecting the worse. Now we are coming out of them with the belief we could actually do this. We heavily rely on a few key players so we're going to need some reinforcements in January and touch wood we do not pick up any injuries to the likes of Delap, Morsy, Hutchinson and Davis, they are so instrumental. Also small mention to Cajuste, another tidy performance outside of the missed slide tackle which led to the first goal, he's really coming together nicely. Hopefully this is pushing KP even more. MOTM for me Hutchinson - he is premier league quality without question, felt like it was his coming out party today and we got so much more to come! Skinning people left right and centre as well as his overall decision making just seemed flawless today, what a performance and goal! - COYB |
| News Comment | Former Blues Left-Back Penney Joins Dale at 10:53:32
I know he didn't smash the door down and cement that left back spot, but he is far better than the National League? On his day some of his one touch passing was sublime. Defensively though was a liability. Feel for Penney, def could be playing at a higher level either L1, L2 or even Scottish Prem. |
| News Comment | Hutchinson Back With Town at 10:51:26
I can see what you're saying bobble, but selfishly I think I would prefer him to try and get in the England squad as there would be far less travelling for him and the financial reward isn't too bad either! |
