always rated Scotland, a real handful. He's strong, intelligent and knew the game very well. Popped up with goals too, even though he wasn't playing much! I saw him last season at the leicester defeat at PR and he was a different class, they couldn't handle him and he put us 1-0 up, all the best Scotland! |

@itfcjoe - to say a keeper isn't 'ready' isn't ready at 18-19 I find to be completely rubbish (no offence!). If he was good enough and had the ability then he could have played. I'm only 19 and have been playing adults football as a keeper and its not that bad at all. relatively speaking he'd be able to deal with it. Good luck to the lad, I do find it interesting how a 'better' team took him on, I wasn't expecting that! |

@COYBitfc, a keeper talking to his defence is exactly what you need! Helps to avoid silly goals which is something we have been guilty many a time of the last couple of seasons. Looks pretty solid, could potentially be a great signing and he's only 27! |

This seems positive, Jewell has got rid of two older players in Sonko and Bowyer, maybe he really is serious about getting some younger blood in afterall! Could mean lots of new players in the summer though, with needing a new centre back, new keeper, new centre mid etc. All we can do is trust Jewell I guess :) |

this is the difference between Jewell and managers of past, Jewell realises he has massive potential and is making sure we keep hold of him. managers in the past were too quick to sell some really good players, roy keane springs to mind! letting our captain and best cbs contracts expire, selling good young players like rhodes, garvan and danny haynes! great to see some positivity! I watched that bury vs walsham game last night as a good friend of mine (who's 17) plays for walsham. he is right footed but was played LB and managed to keep Clark under control all game. now If he can do that at his age etc, Clark shouldn't be a pro which means town did the right thing by giving him the boot! |

I've watched him quite a few times this year and he has been HUGELY unlucky. He should have got a couple against coventry, and keepers have just been determined to stop him scoring! despite that you would think he's in a bad run of form, but he has still been working incredible hard for the team. In my eyes thats the mark of a class striker and a model professional. can't help but think we got an absolute bargain here! great work by Jewell and hopefully chops can keep up the good work and get his target and us in the prem! Jason Scotland was our top scorer last year, I believe if he gets a consistent run in the team then he will get goals, he works hard and has alot to offer. In the past he has had a great scoring record, and if strikers like Kevin Phillips can keep going well into their thirties, why can't scottie?? |
