My issue with Philogene isn't that he's rubbish, because he's a perfectly OK player for us, it's that for £20m we really ought to be getting so much more than ''OK'.
Given the price tag, how hard we went after him, and to be honest his reputation in the game too, I want to see him making game changing contributions. At the minute it's like a Cole Skuse version of a winger. [Post edited 30 Aug 22:42]

13 on the board, played 16, but obviously a fair length delay for the penalty.
The incident when their number 3 pretended to be injured on the edge of their box took a full 5 minutes. Plenty more that took a long time too. Just so blatantly cheating. |

Clarke was my Man of the match.
He has been pony so far, but really had his tail up and was driving and dribbling with the ball every time he got it. Looked like the player we thought we'd signed! |

He's really not looking anything like the player we know he can be this season.
I saw someone on here say it was like he was wearing trombones instead of boots, and that about sums it up. His first touch and passing today was really bad, added to which he headed an excellent chance straight at the keeper in the second half. |

Don't think ive ever seen time wasting on that scale before, not even from Ainsworth and Wycombe.
Some really cynical play from them too.
Not good enough from us, clearly, but bloody hell I hope we see some better football matches soon. |

Really happy that we've got another proper striker through the door, that and the extra CM were by far our 2 most pressing requirements.
Always something a bit more exciting about getting an exotic foreign signing too! |
