Connecting iFollow to my TV
at 11:51 18 Nov 2020

Hi, could someone please tell me if/how I can connect my laptop to my tv to watch ifollow please. It’s not realistic for a family of five to sit round a laptop!

I have a Lenovo Chromebook which has a USB-A port.
I have a TV with a port for HDMI.

So what should we do for Tuesday?
at 08:09 6 Sep 2020

Play the same formation but change most of the players. Gives others a chance to learn their roles in a ‘proper’ game. Given Downes will surely play v Wigan here’s the XI I’d go for injuries permitting-

Cornell
Donacien Wilson Ndaba Kenlock
McGavin
Nolan Huws
Lankester Edwards
Hawkins

And it’s unlikely to have the little cast rectangle like (say) iplayer does, right? [sorry I’m not technical]

Does anyone know if it will be straight forward to cast to a tv? I might treat my boy if we can watch it on a tv rather than a phone/laptop.

Think there is going to be a lot of U23s involved tonight from what I hear...
at 15:58 18 Aug 2020

Presumably from the bench Joe. There’s definitely 22 first teams ready to go I’d say. Could use the same benches in both games and the kids get two lots of 5-20 minutes?

So the 22 likely starters tonight?
at 15:57 18 Aug 2020

Is that definitely true re Norwood or just a rumour? I’ve not noticed it in anything official. Jackson in for him the obvious change.

I doubt many L1 squads can do much better for a second choice back four to be honest. Nsiala though, jeepers.

Holy - Cornell

Vincent-Young -Donacien
Ward - Kenlock
Chambers - Wilson
Woolfenden - Nsiala

Skuse - Dozzell
Downes - Huws
Bishop - El Mizouni

Lankester - Judge
Sears - Dobra
Hawkins - Norwood

And that doesn’t include Jackson, Nolan or Edwards.

Definitely some scope to thin the squad.

As a centre forward, Hawkins.....

And as a big fella his job might well have been to hold the ball up and bring other players into the game. We certainly don’t that kind of player.

I’m not sure “doing a Saracens” is wise.

Ben Morris! FFS.

Firstly I really feel for Ben. Horrible horrible news.

Medics etc will know more but I’d have thought if the club were at fault it would be through rushing him back and he’s been back 8 months so that seems unlikely. Horrible luck though.

Handy player. Just wonder if he’s a couple of years too late. 34, nearly 35,

Which explains why Lee O’Neill is still both (effectively) DoF but also Academy Manager - unless I missed something.

Town keen on Keogh?
at 11:53 3 Aug 2020

I suspect Keogh or whoever we get at CB is to replace Chambers and play alongside Woolfenden as my guess is Lambert will do what he does best and go for 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 next year.

I’m a bit queasy about Keogh but can see the logic. Personally I’d want a left footed, captaincy material, no nonsense centre back if we could find one.

I suspect he’ll end in the Championship anyway.

Norwich City or Ipswich Wanderers?

Close call.

My partner is a Reading fan and we’re considering watching their game on iFollow but probably not just on her phone.

Belgian League looks like the first to abandon the season
at 14:29 2 Apr 2020

A point of pedantry here. The Belgian league is one game from completion. They then have play offs. Essentially they’ve ditched the play offs and based everything on 29/30 league games. I’m not sure this sets a precedent for many other leagues.
