|My 4 year old grandaughter just asked where poo came from|
at 16:10 3 Jul 2020
I was a bit uncomfortable with such a question, but decided to go ahead with a clear and detailed explanation. She looked a bit shocked and confused for a few seconds, then came the follow-up question.
Not a true story...but made me smile.

...and have been in steady decline for a while, but you're not a true Town fan if you can't find pleasure in seeing how Naarwich are giving up without so much as a whimper (or tweet) as their season stumbles to a slow and painful end.

A colleague of mine asked if we had our usual Wednesday 9.00am Staff Briefing on Microsoft Teams. I confirmed that we did and he replied... 'Ah yes - found it now. We usually get a nude from the Head's PA to remind us.'
I replied that I'm obviously not in that Whatsapp group.
Apparently he meant 'nudge'!

...weren't there genuine fears of high death rates in the slum areas of many of the poorer countries due to poor sanitary conditions and overcrowding? Have they dodged a bullet so far, or are we just too wrapped up in our own situation?

...why schools can open from June but no word on when Parliament will reconvene?

...of 'hundreds of thousands of tests every day'?
Is this actually possible, and part of government policy? Or was Boris just making it up?

Looking to cancel our holiday to the States in July. Bought flights through a travel website using credit card. Didn't hold out much hope, but have just noticed that the e-ticket they sent us is for a different flight to the one we actually booked - same day but later. As this means we wouldn't then be able to make a connecting, onward flight, and the error is clearly theirs (we have screenshots to prove it - their confirmation email shows original flight details), then presumably this increases our chances of a refund surely? The original flight is not showing up when we search for it so presumably has been cancelled or is full. Anyone know about these things?

Our lockdown isn't really a lockdown at all, so people just need to abide by the guidelines and be thankful.
My daughter lives in an apartment in Madrid. She has only been outside 5 times in the last 45 days - to go to the supermarket which is 300m away. Not because she is paranoid - but because those are the rules and they are strictly enforced.
I spoke to her last night and they are indeed relaxing their lockdown. As of yesterday, children were allowed to go out for a walk with an adult - the first time in six weeks. Some children, without gardens, have been stuck indoors for the entire time. If the relaxaion goes well this week, it is hoped that adults will also be able to go outside for a recreational walk.
So people here really have no idea what a real lockdown entails - and this talk of 'lockdown fatigue' looks a bit silly in the context of other countries who have had much stricter rules.

Can anyone convince me that my trip to LA at the end of July is going to be ok?
No - thought not.

Anyone else started to get this again? Had it a few months back and it has just started again today on my phone using TWTD. Fecking annoying!
