Gelling is a thing but surely it's more sensible during that gelling stage to keep the game as natural for players as possible.. for example the Davis nverted role. Remove that and let him be the fullback he was whilst we bring players into the squad.
I'm just intrigued by what is deemed as an acceptable season as this start so far is making top 2 highly doubtful. It's a small amount of games. But that gap is growing and as we've seen at this level sometimes those gaps can't be caught. Some can of course too however.
I always felt august was gonna be awkward.. but I didn't expect 0 wins.
Doesn't make them a bad side. But pundits Indeed spoke of their failures to score many goals from open play and discussed how that was a reason behind them not winning the title. Goals from set pieces are important but more importantly you need goals from actual open play that are scored by your own players.

Pretty much why town have even in promotional campaigns struggled against a low block.
No I know. But for me if it were about signing players for profit over anything else. We'd have signed more players under 15 mill. Given them prem experiences and sold them on for higher profits.
Nothing going on. Just saying it's a lot of money spent and the start hasn't been great considering the spends said earlier. November really is the month of understanding where we are at exactly
I don't think it was profit searching as the fees paid out and the clauses included pretty much limited those profits. I think it was at the time the best we could find within our limited data analysis available.
There's still patience etc. But our recruitment was basically if we get relegated it's OK we will be fine yet find ourselves 5th bottom no goals from open play yet.
It's far from panic stations. But also its OK to say it's quite embarrassing considering our spend.
