With the likes of j clarke. Philogene. Burns and ogbene on the scene. Maybe we will see Sammy S in the false 9 role rotating with hirst. And another new forward. Sammy is too good to sit on the bench esp at champ level. In the false 9 he can drop deep but also make runs in behind too. |

That is very true. I shall await how it goes before making that point. Didn't learn my lesson with axel lol. |

I appreciate you didn't. I just meant at the moment we have one imo who may already be better than him already with us. I don't think its a push to sign a striker better than a 30 year old who only played 6 games last season personally. |

Currently Hirst has shown he is better than kyogo in our championship. It's not to be forgotten that Kyogo hasn't played a champ game yet. But also he had shoulder surgery, months out and then further issues with the same shoulder. Who knows what level he can now play let alone how many games. |
 | Forum Reply | It's matters not. But what exactly is our recruitment set up? at 11:04 6 Jul 2025
I guess I'm wondering who's the man who sits everyone down with what the teams managers views are. Requirements etc. Players contracts coming up to expire and basically managing the projects around recruitment. In my mind I'm thinking you need a single person to oversee such a big part of a club but I guess they just all tend to work together. I guess one of those things you'd love to see on town tv tbh. |

Don't want this thread to go into a discussion about signing timelines etc But just curious if anyone knows what exactly is our set up? I think i saw that werhun now looks after player contracts or something along this lines. What's the set up around that. Do we have an actual manager yet or is it just a few different people all chipping in around a table together |

I wouldn't say problem i think it's one of those real split in opinions of what works best. Chairman and a ceo v ceo/chairman. I don't personally know of course how things are done at pr. So can only really have an opinion based on what i remember o learly said about mas wish to do alot. Really and most importantly. If we succeed it doesn't matter either way. |

Whilst true. It can be remembered that o leary was transparent about MA having a large list of things he wanted to do however o leary would step in and say maybe not yet or maybe a different direction needed ( something along those lines) Of course MA will answer to the owners. But which of those are indeed saying to MA don't do this or maybe do that instead. |

I'm ok thank you. Been a tough day but ended well. Dad's in hospital been quite weak. But then had a fall in the hospital and broke he's thigh bone in two places. He's had an op and came through OK considering his age. So tough start to day but feel better |

Visited my family for the day and on the drive back he was walking down from the station ( or the pub) on his phone. He looked delighted. Clearly managed to reserve a new town shirt :) |

I love cajuste. I think when he's over his injury issues he'll be a quality prem player. For now. He'd make a quality champ player and imo will run past half the champ midfield with ease. Just needs the right partner with him. |

Town would have had a better chance staying up last season with hirst playing than delap. |

Usually I've been quite a wet blanket when it comes to no news in transfer windows. But I'm all for waiting if it means we end up with the right targets with the right attributes to help us. I kinda felt we went bit too player tradey with the amount of similar signings we made last season so I'm hoping we simply see some very astute and carefully planned signings this window. |
