Managers say the same about us as well.

They try to ingratiate themselves should they ever need a job.

Even Barton was complimentary about us midweek.

We will keep going with our methods and no doubt finish mid to low table.

That is pretty much the ceiling for Argyle….but I’d like us to break through once in my lifetime.

Congratulations! Enjoy your evening!

Not sure you can claim to be the best ever League 1 team ever yet the team that finishes above you is there because of luck…..

That was a post from an Ipswich fan!

I come in peace.

Your form has been amazing and if you survive those two tough away games you’ll be up.

I hope we join you!

Wouldn’t the best team in the league be top though?

You may be equal on transfer fees in and out but your wage bill is probably triple ours….as is Wednesdays.

Derby, Barnsley, Bolton also consider themselves too big for this league…as do Portsmouth but I just feel sorry for them now.

We know.

We also know we are overachieving and that we are running on fumes. Those 3 home games we have in a week are going to be crucial.

If we don’t go up we are still in good shape. Financially sound and a focus on youth development.

I don’t think the “big boys” can all say the same.

You guys realise you only get 3 points for a win whether you win 1-0 or 6-0 don’t you?

Let’s just wait and see what happens with your trips to Barnsley and Peterborough.

All runs come to end and all teams have a rocky patch. Stay humble.

You claim to be the best ever League 1 team to grace a football pitch yet with 5 games left top spot is not in your control🤷‍♂️

The football Gods are very good and predictable at knocking teams off their perches. (Just ask Wednesday)

Plymouth can have the league, that’s a brilliant win for them today..
at 14:47 15 Apr 2023

Not in good form?

We’ve won 6 of our last 8 league games.

18 points from the last 8 games.

I can’t wait until we are in form!

Not quite. Our wages account for 54% of turnover.

This isn’t a throw of the dice. Final or not.

We are a well run club with the emphasis on the future.

We know there are Premiership size clubs around us and expect them to pull away from us. If that happens we will continue the project.

Ok. I’ll leave you to it.

Would you guys still vote your team as the best ever league 1 as you did earlier in the season 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👋

I think we know where the pressure is. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Our wage bill is 30% of yours, the spine of our team is out injured and you’ve spent a fortune on transfer fees.

Our expectation is to flirt with the playoffs with a top 10 finish bring the target.

I think your manager has looked at the upcoming fixtures and the gap in the league and has realised the games are running out.

Ironically I do expect you to overtake us…but we aren’t under any pressure!

We’ve beaten you, Wednesday, Barnsley and Bolton at home.

Derby have yet to have the pleasure of playing at HP this season.

The difference between last season and this season for us is that we only picked up 6 points against the top 6 last season.

It’s frustrating isn’t it.

Like Morsey’s “tackle” on Azaz in September that broke his ankle.

Joey Barton going in on McKenna

Funny you should mention that!

https://pasoti.co.uk/threads/barton-critical-of-dewsnip.120246/

I’d stop going to Argyle if Barton was manager. I have put up with binary football from Pulis where the ball was screaming for mercy and from a couple of managers who enjoyed a glass of wine…,,and one that lived up north….but Barton would be a step too far.

Watching Cardiff v Reading (we’ll sort of)… feck me
at 23:23 17 Feb 2023

No. MK Dons must be the worst team to support.

They shouldn’t exist, ripped the heart out of Wimbledon and deserve relegation.

They’re everything wrong with football. If they wanted a team they should have started at the bottom like everyone else.

If virtually every team we play against has a low block...
at 17:23 16 Feb 2023

Normally we buy good injured players…..it’s weird to see someone else do it…..

However this is Camaras first major injury and was an ever present for us. He is full of optimism and energy. I reckon he’s great in the dressing room which you need with Ladapo in there.

He is a great ball winner, is full of energy and drives the team forward.

He can’t pass the ball well though and his finishing always hits row z.

I’m not sure how he would fit in a high possession team as his strength is winning the ball.

He’s the type of player you’d see in a league 1 top 8 team. He wouldn’t be a regular in a championship team.
