My dad and I were discussing the use of Hutchinson as a 10 yesterday. I made these to visualize what we saw - I figured some of the football perverts on this board might enjoy having a look. You could see Hutchinson try the movement a couple of times before the "injury" on 15', but after that it became basically automatic and Millwall had no answer for it.
We effectively end up playing with two right wingers to overload that side and give them the choice of allowing us the overload or opening up central passing lanes. What I love so much is not only did we have this as a plan, but also had a ready-made fix for what they might try and do to prevent it. We are so so lucky to have this manager and this team - enjoy it. |

I'm not familiar with the intricacies of FFP regulations - is there any way to make some more room as Hirst has a long term injury? Would we have to de-register him?
This window is going to require some real gymnastics I fear. |

Humphreys, or start Hutchinson and let the LB tuck in to midfield. Right footers body shape constantly takes us backwards, there is no real threat to the width, and this means Broadhead and Luongo can't find the spaces they normally dominate. |

4 changes and everything is just slightly off. 2 steps slower to close down on the press and it let's QPR out. Slightly different pressing angle from Freddie to Hirst and they can switch play. Humphreys getting impatient and comes looking for the ball rather than staying high and wide means no space for Harness/Luongo. Williams releasing to go forward where Clarke would hold and support.
Really makes you appreciate the level of detail McKenna has drilled into these players. |

Especially bad when one gets paid to coach football, as much as I love Tommy.
The player doesn't need to leave the field after receiving treatment if he was fouled and the offending player was booked. |

Does anyone know if there has been any additional recruitment staff brought in? Or have all the targets been identified and analyzed by just the coaching staff?
I figured Ashton would have put some people in place, but don't recall hearing anything. Fair play if it's been all him, the man must not have slept for two months if thats the case. |

With all the recent changes, does anyone know what address as the club would be appropriate to send an email with concerns RE: Jeffers' history and appointment?
I understand a lot of folks on here don't think his hire is a problem and I begrudgingly accept this - please don't turn this thread into a slinging match over this. I'm just looking for some help making my own personal feelings known. |

I'm loving this new version of him. Arguably doing more off the ball than on it, flying into tackles, reading the game well. I feared him next to Andre in midfield but wow have they both shown to have more about them defensively than I expected. |
