 | Forum Thread | One seat left at 18:03 13 Jan 2023
I just looked at the ITFC tickets website and the only areas of the ground not dark blue are SAR1 and Block L of the Magnus stand..............with one seat available in the latter! I imagine we could have sold a few thousand more if we had the capacity. The Pompey gate was 28,434 and Derby 28,415. Tomorrow's attendance will be higher, surely. |

Just a word of warning to fans like myself that usually use them - they are NOT open on Boxing Day. Seems like a lost opportunity to make money with a big crowd and the Boxing Day sales. |
 | Forum Thread | Gesture to Colchester families at 09:56 11 Aug 2022
Just a thought: ITFC could find the Colchester families with young children affected by the mindless violence in the away end the other night from the ticket databases and offer them tickets for a home game at PR, giving them a happier experience at the ground. Once they see what a progressive, friendly and family oriented club ITFC is they may switch their allegiance like so many other fans in North Essex have. |
 | Forum Thread | Feedback on the tannoy at 11:41 2 Aug 2022
Apologies if this has been discussed since Saturday. It seems churlish to complain about anything happening at PR given the vast improvement under the new regime and I understand that the tannoy system is a work in progress but the volume levels in the top tier of the Magnus Stand were ear splittingly loud on Saturday. I have spoken to fellow fans and relatives aged 7 to 70 and we all agree we felt uncomfortable with the music and announcements. I do feel guilty complaining about anything regarding ITFC atm but hopefully the volume levels can be tweaked before the next home game. Please. |

Someone has told me 17,000. That may just be a rumour. Can anyone enlighten us please? |
 | Forum Thread | Portman Plaza at 12:13 8 Jun 2022
Ipswich Borough Council announced yesterday they are planning to demolish the Crown Pools because they are now outdated and the maintenance costs too high. The replacement sports complex/swimming pool will probably be constructed on the Portman Road car park. My first thought is the loss of convenient car park spaces on matchday. Indeed I use this site quite a bit if I'm not travelling by train from Norfolk. On further reflection, I wondered if this development may lead to the permenant closure of Portman Road itself (the street not the ground), or at least the southern part alongside the Cobbold Stand, so giving ITFC the opportunity to expand the stand eastwards. In which case a pedestrianised Portman Plaza could be created between the sports complex and the stadium (all according to the location of the new facility.) This would allow for greater access before/after games. As car parking near the ground is likely to be limited then the club needs to give greater information about Park and Ride, bus /train services on matchdays, especially if the size of crowds increases, which seems quite likely in the years ahead. (I am optimistic!) I visited the Etihad a few years ago and i was impressed with the amount of information about public transport for matches on the club website and in the programme. ITFC will need to liase with the Council on the provision of more car parks perhaps. |
