This was the least I’ve enjoyed a game of football involving my beloved Ipswich Town in a long time. I hated the atmosphere (or lack of) it didn’t even feel like being at the football. Just a tourist attraction. It’s never going to be enjoyable watching your team get 4-1, but that almost didn’t even come into it for me.
The City fans were embarrassing, the officials were embarrassing and there was almost nothing to enjoy. The gulf in class is ridiculous.
I loved seeing us go one up and I thought Delap and Hutchinson looked very much the part… other than that, I’d have much rather be watching us at almost any championship ground. |

Just listened to the Blue Monday Pod. Evans was brought up in regards to the Wales squad. They dismissed it on there and concentrated on Burns.
Really think with the way Evans has started the season, it could be a real possibility. Obviously it requires him keeping it up and doing it against the better teams in the league. If that does happen, He really won't be far off.
Morrell isn't starting for Pompey of late. Other midfielders in that squad include Dylan Levitt who isn't exactly pulling up tree's and ageing injury prone Ramsey & Allen (I really hope it's not for one of them 2) I really think he could be in the mix. Luckily, it looks like we have plenty of very capable cover, even if it does happen anyway. |

What are peoples thought's, after being in it for more season than we would like, now.?
I'm a fan of the fact it gives us more football to watch, a chance to see more of the fringe players & is most certainly our most likely route to Wembley (other than maybe the playoffs)
I hate the premier league U21 involvement though & although completely understand why, being a northern based Town fan, don't like the fact it's regionalised. Same with the League Cup. |
