 | News Comment | Tuanzebe Linked With Trabzonspor at 14:05:16
Would be a big blow in my opinion if we lost Axel. I know he has a bit of an injury history but he’s premier league quality, good enough to play at a team in the top half. I trust we have targets to replace any of the squad if they left but we picked up axel only because he’d had a long term injury and others were worried about committing. I’m also assuming his relationship with McKenna was crucial. We need to push the boat out to keep him. |
 | News Comment | Blues Linked With Burnley Midfielder Brownhill at 16:42:04
Virginblue.. The championship is a higher level than swedens top flight and I’m sure players from that league will make the squad. You could argue it’s a better standard than scotlands top flight, Belgium and Holland. Ok, those league have two or three teams in them that you’d consider big clubs but as a whole the level is better. How many French top flight teams wouldnt be in a championship promotion fight? If he’s playing well and regularly for us it’s better than most situations he’s likely to be offered. If he goes to one of the top European leagues there is more chance he’d be warming the bench. |
 | News Comment | Blues Linked With Burnley Midfielder Brownhill at 14:50:14
I’m shocked that someone who had that good a season has been allowed to get this close to the end of his contract by Burnley. You’d have thought they’d have tied him down long before now. Unless he’s asking silly money of course but I doubt he is otherwise we wouldn’t be keeping an eye on the situation. There is no way we don’t at least know what ballpark his demands are in given he’s been free to chat or more to the point his agent has been free to chat openly to any club on the planet since January. The only thing I would say is that I don’t see him as an upgrade on what we had this season in terms of Cajuste and Phillips. I know Phillips didn’t tear it up for us but he’s better than This lad. |
 | News Comment | Burgess Joins Swansea at 15:46:54
I’m not surprised he’s gone but surprised where. Greaves didn’t have a great season but despite this he’s clearly a good player we see as a long term investment and Burgess would know the plan would be for him to be back up. He’d have been relying on injury, suspension, a bit of rotation or loss of form to make appearances. There are far far lesser CB’s in the championship who are nailed on starters. Would selfishly have liked for him to stay but can only wish him all the best. |

 | News Comment | Brentford Linked With McKenna Move Should Frank Depart For Spurs at 14:38:26
Nottsblue66 It depends on how you define bigger club. I doubt if Brentford could be compared in terms of fan base. Let’s be honest both teams fill their stadium but we don’t have a17,000 capacity and if it were 40,000 we’d probably have filled that this season despite being relegated. Historically you can’t compare Brentford to us success wise and our ownership has significantly more financial muscle than Brentford’s owner. Our ceiling is higher. Brentford are a “bigger club” in the sense they’ve been safely a prem team for a handful of seasons. I can’t think of anything else they have over us and I don’t know that it makes them bigger. Btw. I’m a Bulwell boy originally |
 | News Comment | Premier League Trio Linked With O'Shea at 20:31:02
I’m not saying I don’t think he’s be a good player to keep but for the right money I’d sell. I honestly don’t think he stood out enough for me to think if we went back up we wouldn’t need an upgrade on him to have a chance of staying up. If we can make a good profit and can persuade Tuanzebe to stay if settle for him on the right side of defence. |
 | News Comment | Released Harness Joins Grant at Huddersfield at 21:18:52
Always liked Harness and think he’d have been very useful if we’d kept him. I wish him all the best and also hoping Huddersfield do well for him and Grant. |
 | News Comment | Enciso Set For MRI Scan at 15:12:36
Let’s hope it isn’t serious as he’s looked dangerous in both games he’s played so far. |
 | News Comment | Ex-Blue Knight Departs Murcia at 13:48:52
Jonwillpot.. my mistake Enciso doesn’t count does he. Either way I can’t see knight being good enough for us when he barely got a game for a third tier Spanish side. |
 | News Comment | Ex-Blue Knight Departs Murcia at 11:59:56
Free agent or not he was 22 last June so he couldn’t play for us anyway( if anyone is thinking we should take a look). That he went to a small Spanish club instead of a decent championship or league one club after being released by city suggests he’s not going to be swamped with offers from such now. |

And i know it’s called X now but I refuse to refer to it as such… his cars suck as well. |

 | News Comment | Woolfenden Signs New Deal at 16:36:13
Delighted. Regardless of his local ties, I can’t say I’ve seen him look less than any of our other centre backs this season. He’s also the best on the ball. Of course it may well be that the level of interest in him has persuaded the club that he will be a saleable asset this summer and the new contract secures that.. one season in the prem and his age means he’s high single, maybe even double £m in value now. |
 | News Comment | Edmundson Fee and Personal Terms Agreed at 10:39:40
I’m surprised we managed to get them to pay more than £500k, in fact I’m surprised we turned down their previous offer. I don’t in anyway mean this as a slight on George as a player, just that with him out of contract we’ve done well. He’s certainly good enough to play at the top end of the championship and possibly prem and wish him and boro all the best. |
 | News Comment | Inter Miami Among Clubs Monitoring Woolfenden at 15:08:34
I’d be hard pushed to rank our centre backs this season. I certainly couldn’t say Woolfy has been poor vs anyone else. However if you are woolfy you’d think you might not be the long term in our defence and at 26 he could get a relatively blockbuster contract on a free transfer this summer. |
 | News Comment | Emery: Malen Deal Awaiting Philogene Completion at 15:59:41
No one commenting knows the exact issues and whether it’s us, Villa or the agent or the player so throwing tantrums is ridiculous. It’s been 5 days which by no means qualifies as a saga when it comes to transfers. Hate being thrown at Philogene is disgraceful and symptomatic of the online culture & idiots that populate digital platforms these days. Grow up. |
